I'm not too good a poetry... meh.

-Beyond this Road-

Beyond this road,
Running on far and long,
must surely be something
We can believe in.

Your words,
Soft
Like the gentle tide,
Flow through the wind,
Gathering time
In this warm morning.

A long path,
Destiny,
Spans out farther
Than our eyes can see.
Dust and dirt coat the earth,
Untouched,
For a thousand years.

A place of sanctities,
And sorrows.
The light
That used to shine down
On this journey,
Has long since faded.

We are not alone,
However,
In this dim shade.
We are connected
To the stars,
To the rain,
And to these tears
That have dried up,
Over these long years
Of shallow regret.

Yet, there is but one star,
That remains missing.
And a single raindrop,
That will not leave
These moist eyes dry.

Our journey,
Long and restless,
Lingers on
Through eternity,
Into an unknown fate.

One thing remains certain,
That is,
We have gained so much
From this.
Yet, for every thing that has been acquired,
Another has been lost
In return.

All the friends
That we have lost,
And the dreams
Faded,
Shall never be forgotten.
And perchance
We will see them again,
Someday,
When our story ends.

But For now we saunter on,
Unable to forget.
All that we have known
And all that has graveled at our backs,
Every burden
That we have been forced under,
Weighs our hearts
This long way.

Though your presence,
The presence of those we have mislaid,
Taken by fate,
Keeps us strong.
You keep this journey going
Even when
Everything we know comes crashing down,
Everything we once believed.
When we cannot seem to find our way.

We are traveling this path,
Because of you.

Even though
We may have lost some faith,
Along these lines,
There always seethes
A longing flame
Of hope,
Somewhere within each of our hearts.
It struggles to stay lit,
Yet, it never seems to fade.

You lit that hope,
So long ago.
Well,
It's still burning,
Fainter each day,
But still it burns.

Your words,
Cradling our weary heads
And heavy hearts,
Guide our hands,
For our eyes have seen nothing,
But hollow darkness.
And I long so much,
To see you once again.

I can only hope,
That these winds of time
Lead us back to you.
For you are the only thing
That I still believe in,
Now that my faith
Has been torn,
And my heart,
Broken.

Beyond this road,
Running on far and long,
Must surely be something
We can believe in.
