One Sweet Day

A/N: Hi! Sorry the story is so short, but this song got stuck in my head, and that darn plot bunny just snuck in there with it! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Cedric was gone. He was gone and he wasn't coming back. The date was the 24th of July, exactly one month since Cedric had been murdered. As Cho sat outside on the bench in her yard, she couldn't help thinking about all the things that they never got to do together; all the things she never got to say. He would never know how she felt about him now. He would never know that she loved him.

Sorry I never told you

She kept thinking about the Yule Ball. They had had so much fun that night together; dancing, laughing, and smiling. She couldn't imagine living her life without his smile. Just thinking about it made tears well up in her eyes. "Why, Cedric?" She hollered up at the stars. "Why did you have to leave me?"

Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive
Alive

"I haven't left you, Cho," said a voice behind her. "I'm still here."

Cho turned around to see whom the voice behind her belonged to, and gasped through her tears at what she saw. "Cedric? But – but how? I thought you were dead."

"I am, but before I can go on, there's something I have to do."

Before Cho knew what was happening, Cedric leaned in and kissed her. It wasn't a long kiss, but to Cho it seemed to last forever.

"I love you, Cho. Before I go on, I need to know that you know that."

"I love you too, Cedric, and I always will."

"Cho! Is that you outside?" Shouted a voice from inside the house.

"Yes dad, it's me. I'll be back inside in a minute," Cho shouted back.

"I should go now," Cedric told her. "But never forget that I'll always be with you. Always."

As Cedric disappeared, Cho sat back down on the bench, and began to cry.
