Chapter One - What Is It!

'Ok, now that Mr Finnegan has shown how to not complete an invisibility potion, we'll split of into pairs' Snape said dryly. Harry and Ron stood looking at each other in bewilderment; they had been so busy giggling about what had happened to Seamus that they had not listened to what Snape had said the ingredients were.
As they exited the classroom they noticed that Nevile was not amougest them on the way to the great hall. Ron and Hermonie were certain that Neville had simply had to stay behind because he was found to have done the potion wrong as usual. But Harry was unsure he could not remember Neville being in the class but he defiantly remembered talking to him before hand. He had been worried that his homework wasn't long enough.
'Harry, Harry, HARRY!' Ron shouted at him from down the hallway, 'Are you in daydream land today you look sort of zoned out'. 'Ron's right', Hermonie piped up.
As they entered the great hall, they noticed that four of the teachers were missing from the head table. For one there was no Hagrid, and there was also no Dumbledore or Snape. Madame Pomfrey was also not there but was most likely tending to a sick child.
The whole school watched and waited for the headmaster to arrive. A meal at Hogwarts was never conducted without Dumbledore being there. No one had heard of anything going on this term. Of course there was the new safety cautions, which were over the rising of Voldemort again. But there had been no sign of him since Harry had returned to Hogwarts after witnessing the rebirth of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
At that moment Dumbledore followed by Snape strode into the great hall. Snape was covered in blood and Dumbledore's robes were ripped. 'Perfects lead your house back to the dormitories, food will be brought to you, teachers are to go to the staff room and once we have finished head of house will take one other teacher and sleep with there house', Dumbledore bellowed that people outside could probably hear due to the loudness of it.
Harry, Ron and Hermonie exchanged worried glances. What was wrong? Nobody knew then but Hogwarts students soon found out!
