Chapter 1: The Prologue

A/N: My first attempt at writing. It's probably going to be really bad. Constructive criticism always appreciated!!

Lord Voldemort was standing in front of a set of twins, smiling gruesomely.

"Well, it looks like you or your parents won't be a threat anymore. I'll save myself some time. Amb Occido." (A/N: For translations, see bottom)

There were two flashes of sickly green light, a large exlposion and a flash of blinding white light. And Lord Voldemort, the most feared Dark Lord of his age, was no more.

Amelia Bones, head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, couldn't believe what she was happening. A magical surge was making her magical detectors go crazy. Literally. They were flying around her office.

After a quick accio, she had one of the instruments in her hand. She tapped the map, and after seeing the map, sent a group of aurors and obliviators to see what was happening in Godric's Hollow.

---------- 1 Week Later ----------

Amelia Bones couldn't believe how much the world has changed in just one week. On October 31st, 1981, she had almost no hope. Now, she was rejoicing with everyone else, but still saddened by the loss of the Potters, Peter Pettigrew and Sirius Black. She still couldn't believe what he had done.

In the end, it was for the best. Voldemort was gone, and everyone was safe. She just hoped that the Twins-Who-Lived, as the press was calling them, would be able to handle the fame. Harry James and Rose Lily Potter would undoubtedly be the most powerful wizard and witch of their generation.
