Shut up and dance-Ten and rose.

I love this song, and thought-why not write a one-shot for it! In fact, why not write a whole series on song-inspired one-shots?

We were victims of the night. Literally, we had just been fighting some odd creatures-ractonopals, fascinating creatures-but anyway, we were okay now, and we were in the TARDIS. Rose was wearing her cute pale pink pajamas, sitting in a chair not far from the console.

Slowly, I noticed her scooting the wheels of the chair closer and closer to me. I took my glasses off, looking down from what i as reading. Rose's lips were pursed, her face contorted into some kind of expression-and I'll admit, I'm not the best with expressions.

I ruffled my hair and surveyed her face, realising she seemed to have a cheeky expression on. She held her hand out, tilting her head to the side. I took her hand cautiously, confused, and she pulled me up from my chair.

The TARDIS had started playing some music, of course-perhaps rose had planned it earlier, or maybe it was the TARDIS' idea-and rose slowly spun me around.

"No, no, no. No dancing, Rose."I told her sternly. She just kept smiling, that silly (But, admittedly adorable) smile. She wasn't listening. No, she wasn't.

I started by just submitting to one twirl, just one, I swear. But next thing I knew, she was complaing. "You're holding back!" "No, no I'm not rose, I just have work to-" "Shut up! Shut up and dance!"

I finally gave in I felt her soft hand in mine, as I twirled her and caught her as she dipped. "Rose tyler…" I muttered, unsure of where that sentence was going. She just smiled as though she knew what I was thinking. I was thinking of how to end the daleks forever-actually forever this time-And surely she couldn't know that.

Then I realised that behind that thought was another one-a deeper one. I felt a strange feeling, one that could only be identified as-no, it couldn't be.

But then I stared into her eyes and realised-this woman is my destiny.

"Shut up and dance with me!"
