A/N: This is my first story and I hope you guys will like it. Write a review of it and tell me what you think! ;)
The frozen ground chilled Mara as she walked across the clearing. She stopped when she saw two wolf pups play-fighting. If only I could be like them. she thought to herself. All of a sudden, she could here a voice saying, "Mara. Mara." It got louder and louder until she opened her eyes to see her mother, Chidambar, standing over her.
"It's time for your hunting lesson, Mara." she said in a kind, gentle voice.
As Chidambar started to walk out of the den where Mara was sleeping, Mara got up and stretched. She wearily dragged her body after Chidambar to a group of wolves at the edge of the clearing. Out of all the wolves, she only knew two of them very well. She spotted the pelts of Astral, an omega that was one of Mara's best friends, and Saka, a wolf that had hated Astral ever since Mara became his friend.
As she followed her mother, she couldn't shake the memory of her dream. The dream where she could see.
Mara was born half blind and had to learn, live, and play differently than other wolf pups. She'd always feel left out when she saw the other pups run around the clearing, play-fight with each other, and sometimes chase after a squirrel or rabbit. She had met her two friends, Astral and Taisha, by just helping them one day. She met Astral when she saw the other puppies snap and bark at him because he was an omega. She rushed over to him and started to threaten the other pups. After they wouldn't leave she got into a fight with them and Astral thought she was very brave and kind, so he wanted to be her friend. She met Taisha when she first came to Mara's pack because almost all the other wolf pups were boys or they were girls that didn't want to be friends with Mara. Mara felt happy that she wasn't the only one in her pack that had it rough.
"Let's go." said Mara's mother.
As the wolves slowly emptied into the forest Astral slowed his pace to match Mara's.
"Are you ready for this?" he questioned her.
"Why wouldn't I be?" she replied.
"What if you mess up and they find out? No one in the pack would accept you after that."
"I don't care if no one accepts me because I know my friends always will." she commented.
I want to know if I should keep this going or not. PM me to tell me what you think. ;)
