Ethan's Big Shot

It was Friday morning at White Chapel High and it was also the day Sarah went to Ethan's house to babysit. Benny and Ethan were standing at their lockers. "Dude you should totally ask Sarah to the carnival tomorrow." Benny said. "She's gonna say no anyways Benny so I don't think so." Ethan said frowning. When he saw Sarah and Erica walking towards them he put a smile on his face. "Hey baby." Benny said to Erica. "Drop dead." Erica retorted. When Sarah saw Ethan she had a huge grin on her face. "Hey Ethan." "H-Hey S-Sarah." He stuttered. As soon as they looked into each other's eyes the bell rung. While they were walking to go to class Ethan and Benny stayed behind at their lockers and when Sarah noticed she took this as her chance to talk to Ethan. "Do it now." Benny whispered to Ethan. "Shut up she's coming." Ethan said. "Hey Ethan wanna walk with me to my class?" she asked. "Sure I guess." Ethan said. "So Ethan you going to the carnival tomorrow, I heard it's supposed to be a big one." "I don't know." Ethan said. When they finally reached her classroom Sarah hugged him. "See you tonight E." she said. It was night already and Sarah was coming soon. "Dude this is your chance." Benny said over video chat. 'What if she laughs in my face, or worse stops being friend with me." Ethan panicked. "You gotta have confidence, man." "Bye." Ethan said. Ethan turned off his computer and went downstairs into the kitchen for a snack. "Hey." Sarah said behind him. Ethan jumped then turned around. "You scared me." He said. When he looked into her eyes his heart started beating uncontrollably. "Ethan you okay you seem nervous." Sarah asked. "I'm good." He said giving her one of his crooked smiles. Ethan I love your smile, she thought. "Wanna watch a movie?" Sarah asked. "Umm... sure." When they went and sat down on the couch Ethan thought it would be a good time to bring up the carnival. "Are you going to the carnival?" he asked nervously. "I wasn't planning on it, but if someone asked me then maybe." She said hinting at him. "Sarah would you like to go to the carnival with me?" he asked hoping for a yes. It took you long enough, she thought. "Ethan I would love to." She said her face gleaming with joy. The front door opened it was his parents and it was time for Sarah to leave. "Bye Ethan." She said as she hugged him goodnight. When she left Ethan went up to his room to tell Benny the good news. When Sarah got to her room she immediately called Erica. "So you got a date with the dork." Erica said on the other end. "Not really, but I guess, you should come too." Sarah said. "I guess, it will be like an all you can eat buffet." Erica said, probably smiling on the other end. "Well bye." "Bye." Back at Ethan's house. "Dude please come." Ethan asked Benny. "I guess I could go, Sarah might bring Erica there." He said. "Alright, man." Ethan said. When he hung up he did a victory dance around his room. It was the next day and Ethan was overly excited for a date with Sarah. The love of his life.
