Part 1: Hayley
I'm at the awkward highschool age where changing schools for the first time is the worst possible idea. So of course that's exactly what happened this week. And it's all because my mother died.
Well, let me explain. Eight months ago, my mother disappeared on a failed space mission. And since then my brother, Alex, has been extremely driven to go to the school where she became a legend at at our age. I've never had the desire to follow Alex there but when I walked him onto campus, I never left.
A lot has happened in a week. Alex and I got divided between the two competitive student houses; Alex going to the Eagles, and I going to the Ravens. I met my housemates. The captain of our house, Leo, plays guitar and thinks he is much cooler than he is. The rebel, Jackie, keeps pretty much to herself but I'd like to get to know her better. Emma and Max are the two nerds of the school and just play chess all the time. I don't know much about the Eagles. I just know that I'm supposed to hate them. But I don't. To be honest, I just don't care…
