A/N: Just sometime I thought up after my bit about Owen and Beru Lars in TSP latest chapter.
Just thought I'd clarify a few things: if Ben seems to not grasp fully how much meaning Luke put into naming him Ben...it's because this is during the time period this takes place. Somewhere between LOTF and Dark Nest Trilogy.

Hey, my name is Ben Skywalker. You know who my father is.
I was named after my father's former mentor, Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi. I'm not sure what possessed Dad to name me Ben. I know that Obi-Wan was very important to him, the only person that seemed to care after Tatooine. Word is he was really torn up when Vader cut old Obi-Wan down.
I understand why he named me Ben on that level—he wanted to honor his mentor—. but on another level I still don't fully understand it.
My dad didn't know Obi-Wan for a lifetime, he'd only known him for a few days, so it's not like he was a long term friend.
You'd think if there was anyone he would have thought of for my namesake it would have been the man who raised him for nineteen years. I always thought Dad was a little thoughtless in that sense. I's not like a doubt Dad loved his uncle, but it always irked me he never thought to call me Owen instead.
I wouldn't have minded being called Owen.
Owen Skywalker. Sounds good to me.
