Ani drabble. Spur of the moment, you know? R'n'R.
"Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?"
I saw that little boy. I saw him stand before me, frail innocence surrounding him. His eyes held fear, perhaps a bit of relief. My teeth gritted.
He believed in me - he believed I was his savior. Pain shot through my every nerve at his words. Those words melded with my master's voice as they both encompassed my thoughts.
I glowered at the boy - that little, naive boy, for I no longer saw him.
I saw a tusken raider.
I saw Chancellor…Emperor Palpatine.
I saw myself.
My blade was set ablaze, lighting up the child's face with a blue glow. He still wasn't there, none of them were…until they lied still on the ground and the glow had vanished.
I was no savior.
