He noticed it, but held his tongue despite that he found it ridicules. He knew she only did this to make herself look smaller compared to him. Because she knew that he wanted people to consider him an adult, but that didn't meant that she had to something as ridicules as wearing low heels, even though he was wearing high heels.

Yet he didn't say anything. It was as if there was a fragile balance between the two of them. One that he didn't had the heart to destroy.

He didn't deserve her. He didn't deserve her loyalty, her limitless devotion, and yet he couldn't dare to let her go. She was living her life for him, and she was his strongest thread to his heart. A part of him that hasn't been burned away that dreadful night.

She was the one person who kept him from going insane. The one person could seemed to give him a moment to breath between long periods of holding the air.

So he was wearing high heels to make himself look like an adult, and she worn low heels to make him look taller.

That was one moment they shared together. It might be something that was based on illusions, but it was theirs.
