I have this idea in my head all day at work and I thought of doing a one-shot. Of the first episode, of course, but that would mean Gaomon would be a female and the boys and Sora would be genderbend as well. Meaning Joe, Izzy, TK and Mimi would be themselves. Along with their Digimon, too.
We'll see if you guys would like it. :) And yes, I've done my research about her name, it can also be a guy's name, too. Just pointing it out there, lol.

Blast From The Past To Adventure One Shot
And So It Begins...

I hear random kids are playing some games while I'm hanging out underneath the shade of a tree, reading a book I've bought from home while my neighbor is sleeping on the branch for odd reason. Don't ask why.
My name is Akane Haruno, I'm twelve years old and I'm just your ordinary guy who loves to play basketball and enjoy reading during his spare time. I can be somewhat anti-social since I get really awkward when it comes about new people, unlike my neighbor above me. She was the first one who came up to me when I was a new kid in school and introduce me to a game of soccer during free time.
I never liked soccer, I don't mind running, but I prefer to play basketball.
Anyway, thanks to her, I was actually forced to come to summer camp. Her name is Taichi Kamiya, but prefers to called as Tai for short. She's a google-head, which I don't understand why she's wearing it. Don't tell her what I'm gonna tell you, she can be somewhat annoying, in my opinion.
Not until I notice a snowflake have landed on my book when I look up. I'm pretty sure me and Tai aren't the only ones when she saw it, too. Her soccer teammate, Sora notice the snow falling, too. He's the one who's wearing a blue hat on his bright orange short hair and wearing bright yellow tshirt. He seem pretty cool guy, whenever I see him around school.
Then, there's Yamato Ishida, like Tai, she prefers to be called Mattie. You can tell she's gonna be a lonewolf of the group and all the boys in school were crushing on her since she's Miss Cool. Izzy notice the snow falling, as well. He's the one with the laptop and spends most of his time with it. He's very smart, too.
Don't get me started with this girl. Tai maybe somewhat annoying, but Mimi is way worse. You can guess what's her favorite color is. The youngest member is Mattie's little brother, Takeru. Like his older sister, he prefers to be called as TK. Cute little guy with his big blue eyes that would make girls cooed over him. I actually felt sorry for him when that happened before.
And then, there's the oldest, Joe. You can tell he can be somewhat worrywart for the way he's carrying that medical bag he always carrying around.
Anywho, once the snow continue to fall, out of nowhere, we started to get a blizzard and everyone were rush inside, including the eight of us head into the small hut while I held TK close to me and bring him in. After that, the snow stopped when Tai opened the door and we all gasped in surprise.
The whole camp is completely cover with snow. Look like the canoe races are cancelled.
"So, let's have toboggan race, instead." She ran out ahead, then little TK went out, hearing him saying that he wants to build a snowman with his older sister going after him after I came out after them, putting my book back inside my blue knapsack and put it on. I whistle at the sight.
"I knew global warming is bad," I said to no one. "But, I never thought it would be this bad." Even Sora went to go join with the rest, along with Joe and Mimi when I notice we're missing someone. I look inside and Izzy is still in there, working on his computer to work when all of the sudden...
"Wahh!" I yelped when I've felt something wet on the back of my head. I look over and saw Tai and Mattie were laughing, so was TK and Sora while I glare at them. Not until my eyes look up and gasped at the sight of..."Is that the Northern Lights?" Everyone, including Izzy saw it.
"Wow, it's beautiful," Mimi said. "Magical, even."
"Yeah, what is it?" Izzy asked when he appeared besides me.
"It's the Aurora Borealis," I said, I also like to study Astronomy. "You can only see this up on the northern hemisphere, we're far too south."
"Tell that to the snow," I heard Sora.
"Hey, what's that?" I heard Tai when I look up and saw the light began to change, then something starting to shoot at us.
"Take cover!" Couple of small explosion of snow began and covering us in dust, hearing everyone screaming. Once it stopped, I stood up to check on everyone.
"You guys okay?" I asked while I ran over to Tai and help her up.
"We're still here." Mattie said, seeing her holding her little brother.
"That was scary."
"Wh-what was that?" Joe asked, seeing him being crouched down.
"Meteors?" Tai and I look over at Izzy, watching him crawl over to one of the holes when a light appear from underneath. There are three in front of him, me and Tai when something started to come out that made us, including everyone else to catch it. Whatever it is.
"What are these?" Sora asked.
"My guess is some sort of digital remote apparatus." Izzy said when I saw it was a small white device with a black screen and it's making a high pitch noise.
"No instructions?" I heard Mattie when all of the sudden, I hear waves coming in when I look up and gasped in shock.
"Forget that, surf's up!" A tidal wave came out of nowhere and it washes us away from camp before we black out.

"Akane? Yoo-hoo, Akane."
"Mm," I began to stir when I opened my eyes and I notice I'm lying down sideway. I sat up, but feeling a terrible sting coming along. "Ow, what hit me?"
"You okay, Akane?"
"Yeah, I'm-" Wait a minute, that didn't belong to any of the girls back in camp. I look around and yelped.
In front of me was a blue little kitty with a tail and has dark blue stripes everywhere on...her head with a letter M on the middle of her forehead and has bright gold eyes that matched the cute grin on her face.
"Hi, there," She greeted, with her tail flips back and forth.
"Uh, hi," I don't know I should be freaking out or stay calm with the feeling telling me not to be scared of her. "Uh, where did you come from?" She giggled.
"Silly, you landed in my world, the Digital World." I gawked at that.
"Digital World?" She nodded, then she went ahead hop over to me and made me catch her in my arms, hearing myself yelped. "Just what are you?"
"I'm a Digimon, short for Digital Monsters," She explained. "My name is Wanyamon, I've been waiting for you, Akane."
"Waiting for me? For what?" I was so confused.
"You and I are meant to be partners." She grins, making me confuse even more.
"Partners?" Not until the two of us jumped at a sound of a crash. "What was that?"
"Trouble," She hops off my arms and leaps away where the crash came from. I went after her.
"Wait up!" For a little kitty like her, she can be very fast, I can barely keep up. I manage to catch up and saw Wanyamon came to a stop when I look up and saw it was the others from camp.
"Akane, there you are," I heard Tai when I saw what she's holding, so did everyone else. They each have a Digimon of their own.
"You guys have one, too?" I point to the one that Mattie is holding. It appeared all orange with a black horn on its head.
"Yeah," She answered when Wanyamon hops onto my head.
"Hi, there, I'm Wanyamon," I couldn't help, but grins for the way she spoke. "It's nice to meet you, friends of Akane."
"Uh, actually-" I was cut off when we all heard someone screaming as we look over into the bushes and saw it was the older boy.
"Joe?!" Tai called out.
"Help me, this thing-this thing," He panted after he came into a stop. "It won't leave me alone."
"Hey, who are you calling a thing?" All of the sudden, I saw a cute seal ghost like Digimon with orange hair, landed on Joe's shoulder with a cute grin on his face. "I'm no stuffed animal, the name's Bukamon." He laughed with Joe looking up at us, then back at the little guy, then back at us with over dramatic look on his face.
"What's wrong with you guys?" He snapped. "Don't you see this creature hanging off me?" He even notice the ones on the ground. "And those things down there?" The little guys gathered and introduce themselves.
"We're Digimon, Digital Monsters," I smiled at them while I kneeled down at their level, petting the one who look like a pink radish, hearing her giggling a bit.
"We're not just Digital Monsters," I look over the one with bright ruby eyes. "We're much more than that, we're also kinda cute." He said.
"And very loyal," The orange little guy said bashfully as I also pet him.
"With beautiful hair," The pink radish purrs, making me chuckle a little.
"Or with no hair," I snorted for what the little pink ghost said.
"And we can be funny, ha." Bukamon said.
"And adorable," The white guinea pig with big teeth said.
"No to mention, very active, too." That was from Wanyamon while I watch her leaps over to me and landed in my arms. I smiled down at her and pet her gently on her head, hearing her purring.
"It's a pleasure to meet each of you," I heard Tai as she started. "My name's Tai and these guys are my friends from camp, I like you to meet Sora."
"Nice place you got here, except for bugs." He said with a grin.
"Miss self proclaimed one over there is Mattie," She smirked a little.
"No autographs, please?" I rolled my eyes.
"This is Joe."
"I'd shake your hand, if you have any," I snorted a little. He was being scared of Bukamon about two minutes ago.
"Izzy here, is our computer expert."
"Do you have internet access?" He asked with a grin.
"The little guy is, uh..."
"TK, call me TK, and I'm not small as I look." I grinned at that.
"And lastly, it's my neighbor, Akane." I smiled again.
"Nice to meet you guys, I can't wait to learn more about you and your world." I said truthfully, seeing my new friend smiling brightly as she flips her tail happily.
"There, is that everyone?" I heard Tai when I notice we're missing one person.
"Hey, whatever happen to the girl with the pink hat?" Sora asked while I groaned.
"Now, now, her name is Mimi-" Joe was cut off when we all heard someone screaming, more like screeching with a cry out of help from the girl herself. Wanyamon hops off and she leads the way with me trailing behind her.
So much to my dismay, so did everyone else. Hey, I did mention that I'm anti-social, I can't help it.
I watch Wanyamon kept leaping till she came to another stop when the screeching sound came closer and in the bush, Mimi came out with a little Digimon of her own, except like the others, this one look like a little plant.
"Mimi!" I called out, but all of us gasped at the sight of a giant red beetle, flying above us after we all manage to duck and it flew away.
"Mimi, are you okay?" I heard the little plant Digimon while Sora made his way over to the duo.
"I think so," Mimi said, hearing her little Digimon would take care of her, which her name is Tanemon.
"It's all right now," Sora tell her, placing his hand on the girl's shoulder, hearing the pink clad felt relieved when I heard Tai squeaked.
"Watch out, here he comes!" We look up and gasped. The bug came back.
I led the team where Mimi and Tanemon came out from since the giant bug is actually after us. I can tell he is, because of Wanyamon, she's on my head and growling at the sight of him.
"Get down!" I called out, taking a dive, along with everyone with the beetle missing us after we stood up, saw him flew away into the forest.
"Will this nightmare ever ends?" I heard Joe. "My mom's gonna want and a complete refund."
"This isn't camp anymore, Joe." I told him. "We need to find another way to stop that bug."
"Here he comes again!" I heard the little radish when we look over and the bug is coming back.
"Move!" I called out and we all started running again with me leading back where we've came from. Not until I've came across a cliff up ahead, causing myself to skidded to stop and held my arms out for everyone else to stop, too.
"Great, did anyone bring a helicopter?" I heard Mattie when I watched Tai went up to the cliff.
"Tai, be careful." I tell her, watching her gotten closer, then she peered over and hung her head low as she look back at us.
"There's no way down," She called over. "We're gonna have to find another way."
"Another way where?" Sora asked when we all heard a loud crash behind us, causing us to scream and ran over to Tai when I saw the beetle went after her!
"Tai!" I called out, seeing her little Digimon leaped up and attacked the beetle with pink bubbles. I gasped when the little guy got hit and landed on the ground.
"Not again," I heard her say while the beetle came back and flew after us.
"Digimon, attack!" I heard Wanyamon and all the little guys attacked all at once, with Wanyamon tackling the beetle, but the attacks had no effect and the bug just backhanded them down.
"Wanyamon!" I ran over and jump to catch her in my arms. "Gotcha!"
"Yokomon!" I heard Sora while I hear everyone went to their own after I landed.
"Wanyamon, are you okay?" I asked her in concern when she opens her pretty gold eyes and giggled.
"I'm fine, Akane," Making me feel relieved and giving her a kiss on her head while the two of us heard that the beetle came back and...
"You gotta be kidding me?! He can walk?!" I snapped as I back away to the team, with Tai appearing besides me as I held her close behind.
"I was hoping to see the last of him," Sora exclaimed when he appeared the other side besides me.
"Me, too, guess he had other plans," Tai said while we watched the stupid bug come close to us, pinching his pincers really loudly.
"I should've bought my bug spray," I heard Mattie when me and Tai glare over at her.
"This isn't the time to joke around, Mattie," I scolded her, hearing my neighbor saying to get ready to run.
"No," That was from Wanyamon when I look down at her. "We stay and fight." What?
"Wanyamon?"
"She's right," That was from Tai's Digimon when we look over at him. "It's the only way, we stand and fight." I look around at everyone else's Digimon. They all agreed and trying to break free from everyone's grasps.
I look down at my own. "Wanyamon, are you sure, sweet girl?"
"Absolutely, Akane," She grins. "You just have to believe in me, I don't want anything bad happen to you." That made my heart melt. Big time.
I grin down at her, then let her go, so she can be with her friends, seeing them hopping over to the beetle as they get ready. I can't really stop her, I just held my hands into fists and say...
"I do believe in you, Wanyamon." All of the sudden, the sky gotten dark and a light appeared in the little device from my pocket. "What the-" I even saw not one, but eight rainbow lights landed on the little guys, seeing them freeze when they look like they're about to transform.
"Koromon, digivolve to...Agumon!"
"Yokomon, digivolve to...Biyomon!"
"Tsunomon, digivolve to...Gabumon!"
"Motimon, digivolve to...Tentomon!"
"Bukamon, digivolve to...Gomamon!"
"Tokomon, digivolve to...Patamon!"
"Tanemon, digivolve to...Palmon!"
"Wanyamon, digivolve to...Gaomon!"
"What the-" All of us were in for a treat. We saw our little friends became something bigger, especially the one with the ultramarine blue dog with a white bandana around her head. "Is that...Wanyamon?"
"What happen to the little guys?" Sora asked.
"They're bigger," Tai said. We all watch our new friends began to fight with the blue dog starting off first.
"Agumon, give me a boost!" I watched the two work together and the orange dino tossed her in the air with his head, seeing her releasing an attack. "Gao Rush!" Watching releasing rapid punches on the beetle's face.
Then, the green plant hybrid Digimon jumped in by using her finger like vines to hold the bug down and the little white seal slides and knock the bug down to lose his balance.
"Electro Shocker!"
"Boom Bubble, pah!" I watched two flying Digimon worked together and their attacks hit directly on the beetle's chest.
"Spiral Twister!"
"Blue Blaster!"
"Pepper Breath!" The beetle screeched in pain from being hit. "All together!" Five out of eight combine their attacks, watching him stumble back and fallen into the forest, being defeated.
"Holy cow," I broke the silence for us kids, still in shock, yet amazed. All the little monsters began to run towards us, being happy and excited while I've been bombarded by the blue dog. "Wahh!" I fell back after she did, causing the two of us to laugh and I gave her my biggest bear hug I could ever given. "You were awesome, sweet girl."
I heard her giggled when all of the sudden, our eyes widen at a sound when we look over and the stupid beetle is back again.
"Ohh, come on!" I shouted.
"Guess we celebrated too soon," I heard Tai when the two of us watched the bug snapped his pinchers, then stab them to the ground, causing the cliff to fall apart, with us in it.
Dun-dun-duuuunnn! Lol, sorry, I'm not continue this, but just giving it an idea, that's all. I hope you guys enjoy it and I will be back to the revamp version, I promise! :)
