Jack Merridew stared at the small piece of paper in his hands. It was an invitation to visit a reunion of sorts with all the kids that were involved, and lived, during the plane crash that left them stranded on a deserted island. He slightly shuddered at the rememberence of the events that had taken places all those years ago. It has been 6 years ago when he was only 12.

He could remember everyone that was on there with him. Piggy, the fat one that for some reason made him extremely angry. Maybe it was because he always made a point against him or it was becuase he was fat. Either way, he didn't like him. It pained him to think bad thoughts of Piggy, seeing as he didn't make it off the island. Bill, Johnny, the youngens, Sam, Eric, all the choir.

There was one person that always stuck out in his mind and had haunted him for years. Ralph. He was always his friend, but somehow his enemy. They had opposing views on everything. They would bicker, fight, even attack each other, but somehow they never stopped being friends. Ralph made him happy. The thought of him made Jack blush. He knew that he had feelings for him, he just didn't understand it at such a young age. They were like oppoing forces that blocked each other out, yin and yang. In other words, they were ment for each other.

Jack fumbled with the card in his hands, looking it over. He smirked, noticing a very small clip art picture of a fire. He rememberd the many fights over the fire, who should keep it and who to blame when it went out. Ralph loved the fire, he kept it going as long as he could.

He flipped the card over, checking to see if anything was on the back. What was suprised him. In very neat print was a note. It read: "Dear Jack, I know you probably think this whole thing is stupid but would you please come? It would mean a lot to bond with everyone that was with us. I will be there and, to be honest, you were the only one that I really talked to so it would be amazing to see you again :) -Your friend, Ralph."

Jack's heart skipped a beat. Ralph took the time to write him something special? He wanted to talk to him? He thought it would be amazing to see him again? He held back his excitement and ran to his closet to choose his clothes for this occasion even though it was over a week away. He frowned at the clothes he had in his closet. What would be right to wear to reunite with Ralph? He scanned all the clothes he had, critiquing every dress shirt he owns. Finally, his blue eyes landed on the shirt that finally pleased Jack. Its dark purple colour complimented his eyes and went very well with his aburn hair. It was perfect.

He grabbed it out of the closet and laid it out on the rolling chair near his desk. Quickly, he pulled out a pair of black pants and dress shoes. Everything was perfect. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest. Getting to see Ralph again, seeing everyone and how they have changed, getting to see Ralph again, maybe party, and getting to see Ralph again. He couldn't wait.
