Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Double Trouble" from Season 2. Enjoy and comment.

It was a beautiful morning on the Island of Sodor. Thomas's new blue paint sparkled in the sunshine, as he puffed along with Annie and Clarabel.

Thomas was feeling very pleased with himself.

He then saw his friends, Percy and Toby.

"Hello Thomas!" whistled Percy. "You look wonderful!"

"Yes indeed!" boasted Thomas. "Blue is the only proper color for an engine!"

"But I like my brown paint." said Toby.

"I'm green, and I don't want to be any other color." added in Percy.

"Anyway, blue is the color of really useful engines. Everyone knows that."

Percy and Toby said no more, as Thomas puffed away.

Later, Thomas was resting by the coal hopper when Percy came over.

Thomas was still being cheeky.

"Be careful with those foolish freight cars!" warned Thomas.

The freight cars didn't like this at all.

"Go on, go on!" they laughed.

And then, the foolish freight cars pushed Percy through the buffers, right as the last load poured down… on Thomas!

"HELP! HELP!" cried Thomas. "Get me out! Get me out!"

Percy was worried for Thomas, but he couldn't help laughing.

Thomas was covered in coal dust from footplate to fender.

"You don't look really useful now!" laughed Percy, "You look really disgraceful!"

"I'm NOT disgraceful!" snapped Thomas. "Please get me out!"

It took so long to clean Thomas, that Toby had to take Annie and Clarabel in place of Thomas.

That night, Thomas was very grumpy in the shed.

Toby was happy, but Percy was cross at Thomas, for thinking that he made his paint dirty on purpose,

"Thomas is a disgrace to Sir Topham Hatt's railway!" snapped Percy.

But Thomas didn't say anything.

Next day, Thomas felt much better.

Percy was taking some heavy freight cars, They were so heavy, that Percy was feeling tired.

"Have a nice drink." suggested Percy's driver. "Then you'll feel better,"

The water tank stood at the end of the siding, near some unsafe buffers,

But Percy couldn't stop himself in time and landed right in a pile of coal!

Thomas didn't say a word. As soon as the signal dropped, he puffed away.

That night, the two engines apologized.

"I didn't mean to cause your accident." said Percy.

"And I'm sorry I teased you about your green paint." replied Thomas. "It looks wonderful! In the future, we'll both be more careful around coal.
