Note: So...I live! I have not uploaded anything onto in many years. This drabble had been an idea from long ago that I finally decided to write. I may post more from time to time, but right now I am focused on writing original fiction (I currently have beta readers editing the second draft of my manuscript...a young adult fantasy novel!). Anyways, hope you enjoy this short but sweet piece of work! 3 Holly

Gummi Ship

-Riku's POV-

Gummi ship, oh gummi ship, you're such a simple machine, aren't you? And yet, you are the most complicated device I will ever know. I can build you into anything I want. I have pulled you apart and reformed you countless times. I have altered you and changed your shape to my liking until no one, not even my friends, not even you, could recognize yourself. You are strong, but yet, you can also break. Our journeys have not been easy. Every time we are attacked, I clean up the broken pieces and start again. On those journeys, I have taken you with me to distant worlds. I can take you anywhere I desire. But alas, you are only a vessel. You can only take me so far. I realize that I have no use for you now, which is why I've sent you to the junkyard. You've started to break down to the point of no repair. You're rusted. You're beat up. You're worthless. I could spend the time and munny to get new parts, but I'm tired of it. I'm tired of the energy it takes to make you whole again, of getting used to a different shell. You don't feel like home anymore. My friends took you in, sent you to the repair shop. You have brand new parts and a shiny paint job now, but you can't fool me. You're still the same on the inside, right? Your engine still runs on, and for, the darkness. Evil will always be your fuel. You, no I, will never change. This is not a goodbye to my gummi ship; this is a goodbye…to me.
