Few of the lines here are based from Akebono's lines in the actual game.
In case you didn't know the reference, the 4th and 5th verse are based from January 1944 escort, where Akebono and her sister ship Sazanami were escorting a fleet of supply ships. Just then, they were attacked by USS Albacore. The event sank her sister ship Sazanami and the rest of the fleet, leaving Akebono at responsibility.
6th and 7th verse based from the event of The Battle Leyte Gulf, when two heavy cruisers, Mogami and Nachi crashed. Akebono went to escort Mogami but as the American planes didn't destroy the half-sunken Mogami, Akebono was forced to scuttle her.
The 8th and 9th verse based on the Manila Air Raid, when Akebono finally sunken while her sister ship, Ushio was nearby.
