Chapter 1: A new day of a new year
"Come on SJ we're gonna be late for school!" I shouted through my cousins door,
"I'm comin!" She shouted back. I waited ten minutes for her in the hallway, "God, school doesn't start for another half hour." She said closing the door behind her,
"Yeah, but we have to stop for coffee... And I like to talk to my friends." I said and started walking,
she rolled her eyes, "You're too happy on the first day of school Lexie."
"I always am." I smirked.
It was the first day of our junior year, the beginning of a new school year, and a new cheerleading season. I was so excited because I liked school for the people... Not the work. My cousin SJ (short for Susan Jessica) hated school for everything, except cheerleading. I walked through the front doors of the school, freshmen stared at SJ and I as we went to our lockers,
"Hey ladies." My friend Rebeca greeted, her dark brown hair was curled and she was the same happy mexican as always,
"Hey Becks." I smiled and put my crap in my locker,
"Ready for a new year?" She asked and leaned against the locker next to mine,
"Yeah."
"No." SJ sighed.
Becca and I looked at her, "No need to be pessimistic." Becca said and I laughed,
"Let's get to our class." I said heading to first hour Economics.
We sat down in the rowdy classroom, the immature students were throwing papers which came from who knows where. Mrs. Macarthy quieted everyone down and told us what we were doing throughout the year. She was interrupted by a knock on the door, Mrs. Macarthy opened the door and in walked a guy with sandy brown hair, he introduced himself to the teacher, she gestured him to a seat next to me. He sat down and smiled at me, "Hey." He said,
"Hi." I said not really interested in talking to him,
"I'm new here... And uh, I need someone to help me around-"
"I'm sorry, but I'm not interested."
"No, no, I wasn't asking you out or anything, I just need your help around."
"Okay, fine. I'm Alexis, or Alex, or...Lexie."
He smiled, "My name is Jeremy, Jeremy Von Doom."
