"Girl, you need to get out of Tennessee and come to WWE. I talked with Vince and he thinks you would be great here. Besides your mom has been telling me you are sick of the Indies." Kane aka Glen tried convincing his cousin.
"Glen I know. Thanks for pushing your buddy Taker on me. Mark called yesterday. I really want to but, I'm not as good as you. My style is totally not the Dead Man's and yours. So I can't team with you. Why I'm ultra glam, you guys are badasses. Mark thinks Vince would figure something out for me but, I wanted to be with you. I'm nervous I won't be good enough." Isis Jacobs confessed.
"Ice Queen, your amazing and you know it. Impact wrestling wants you bad cause they know you're the best new female wrestler out there right now. You need to be in WWE. You need to jump why the fire is hot. Vince won't give you a second chance. I talked to one of the guys the other day with Mark. We think this angle would be perfect for you. You just look like some rich diva and trust me. You would love it." Glen said secretly.
"Rich diva? Diva? You know that word scares the shit out of me. You always act like I'm so girly and vapid. I'm not you know. I just use the stage persona to wear cool clothes and feel like anyone other than myself." Isis knew that was true. She was self-conscious and shy but when she was the Queen of the Goddesses she was something she wasn't in real life. Confident.
"I do not think you're vapid. Why your so hard on yourself, I don't know. Well, you don't have much choice cause I told Vince you would be there next week to meet with him and sign. I'm not letting you back out. I got to go. The stagehand just said it's time to go to the ring. " Glen hung up.
"GLEN! Damn it! You Jerk!" Isis slammed down the house phone. "I can't believe he would do that. And, wait..what angle? He knows something he's not telling me? Big jerk is probably setting me up with some guy he thinks I will have the hots for. He's always trying to set me up with his friends. So he can check up on me. The Big Red Monster is a big red pain in my ass." She argued with the empty room.
After pacing the floor for a good five minutes ranting, Isis fell back on the couch watching Triple H enter the ring with Kane. Isis always found Hunter attractive. She found herself jealous when he got with his now ex-wife Stephanie. She couldn't concentrate on the conversation. She was too fixated watching the big handsome Triple H. She had never met him. But, knew Mark aka Undertaker and Hunter had a good relationship. Mark had been a great friend to her. He trained Isis after he figured out she was too stubborn to let Glen help her.
Isis remembered the night Mark and her were training at a gym near his home. She lived with Glen but, distanced herself when he had visits from any WWE wrestlers. It made her feel awkward to want to be one of them and not be there yet. She visited Mark when he was off the road or in a nearby town. She took Marks offer on training, after a problem that almost ended her future. Until the incident, she had been hiding her love for wrestling. She only confided in Mark after they came close. After a botched move in the indie scene, she got hurt. After that Mark insisted to train her properly before she was really hurt by the rookie amateurs she worked with. Once Mark started to help her Isis started to get noticed by bigger companies including Impact and WWE. Isis always wanted to get training on her own and not be another family member who got special attention because of her famous cousin, Kane. But, Mark was hard to say no to. He was like a big brother and father figure all in one. Her father passed when she was younger and Glen and Mark took her under their wings.
Only Mark knew about her crush on Triple H. Mark was training her in the gym one day when he had just got off the phone with Hunter. He always noticed over the years when Hunters name come up she would perk up. She kept badgering him about what they talked about. Mark told her Hunter and Steph were getting together and how Mark told Hunter you can't help who you love. She was heartbroken after hearing the news and that Mark supported it. Isis knew enough stories about Steph to know it was about money, not love. After the divorce, Steph had moved in with her new boyfriend in LA and she was never on the show anymore. After a few weeks of ignoring him, Mark showed up at Glen's house demanding to know what was wrong with Isis. She confessed to having feelings for Triple H. She was upset he supported the union. That had been years before and she had outgrown crushes. But, she couldn't deny she still found Hunter attractive as she always had. He was the only guy Glen had not tried to set her up with. Even though he would tease she needed a good man like him in her life. She had a suspicion the Glen knew she liked Hunter. He had brought it up before and she denied it.
Isis listened to the show that was back on the air. Ignoring her memories. In the ring, Hunter talked to Kane about being part of Evolution the faction that he created with Ric Flair. The talk of fast cars and fast women made her stomach turn. 'Gez he's become a total douche bag since he got a divorce. Being a heel for a story is one thing but, this is nuts.' She thought.
She had become disgusted with Hunters new persona. Isis had loved him playing a heel before but this was just an ego trip on turbo. Glen said it was no WWE storyline. Hunter had really become a younger version of Ric Flair and his womanizing had become out of control. Mark and Glen still respected Hunter but agreed he just wasn't the same guy. She often watched tapings of the show with Glen and Mark and got behind the scenes stories. Even though it drove them crazy to gossip about it. She knew Vince loved to take drama backstage and make it a show highlight so she figured it was why the storyline was working.
