A/N: This was pretty random kind of shotty, but I wrote just because it was kind of cute. It was last minute and hey if you don't like it use your imagination or you can give writing it a shot. If you see any mistakes let me know and don't forget to review.
"All right class I want that essay by the end of the day on Sunday" Kate says. All of her students simultaneously let out a groan. "ugh This is Russian Literature at a competitive high school you know" she says mockingly.
There is a knock on her classroom door. Peeking his head through the doorway was the English teacher Rick Castle or Mr. Castle as the kids call him. "Hey Kate" he says. "Hey Rick what's up?" She asks. "Umm… sorry for interrupting, but your car windows are rolled down and it's about to start raining." he replies "Oh dangit" she says scrambling for her keys. "Can you watch my class for me?" She asks. "Of course." He says. "Thanks." She replies while running out of her classroom.
"Never run in the halls Kids" Rick jokes. The class chuckles at his ironic joke. While looking around the classroom he notices a group of girls staring at him, which isn't unusual, but something about their smiles is mischievous. "What?" he asks cautiously. "Nothing" they all reply "I wanna know" he practically whines. "it's just well….we totally ship you with Ms. Beckett" one girl responds. All of the other girls in the class gasp and scream "omg you do too I thought it was just me"
A confused Rick stood at the front of the room watching the strange interaction happen between the quietest and the most popular girls. He was glad to see the interaction between the two different social groups, but he had no idea what was going on. "um.. can someone explain this whole shipping thing"
At that very moment Kate walks back in. "Shipping is when a person pairs two of their favorite people together most often romantically, but sometimes platonically" She states "oh" Rick responds "who's shipping who?" Kate asks inquisitively. " …one…uh. is shipping anybody" Rick stammers as the bell rings "Oh look at that the bell rang have a great weekend kids" Rick says.
The kids begin piling out of the classroom when one of the girls from the group walks up to him "You know Mr. Castle I think they would be a cute couple if he worked up the nerve to ask her, she obviously likes him too." She says "What was that about" Kate asks walking up to him. "Nothing really" He replies turning to face her. "So Kate, do you have any plans after school?" He asks "No why?" She questions furrowing her brow. "Would you like to get some coffee after school with me?" Rick asks. She responds with a smile "Well it took you long enough" she jokes "Oh and by the way I know the kids were talking about us" She says walking off with a little more sway in her hips leaving a stunned Rick in the middle of her classroom with his jaw halfway to the floor.
