Hi before chapter 1 I wish to thank you fans that do appreciate my writing. I also appreciate xnobody13, sonicnobody, cltheo and Toshirou for their constructive, helpful reviews they have given me on this fanfic. If more people were able to review my work or suggest any improvements it would be appreciated, but I would like it to be constructive and clear.
For those that have not read this fanfic before I wish to say it's meant to be unlike any other. It is set in a rather unique alternative universe (with different physics to what you may expect) as well as this being a self-insert, I've also altered the characters (that some of you will be familiar with) to various extents and the portrayals of the characters are different. Furthermore because of my fanfic being M there will be scenes of violence, gore, sex and even torture but rest assured I will inform you at the start of the chapter if there is any of those things in there, for some it'll just be part of the chapter, which I'll indicate so you could just skip them if you don't like it.
I hope you enjoy my story because I wanted to create something I believe in as well as something that is unique, I hope you're able to enjoy it or at least be able to suggest constructive criticism because I'll admit I'm not the best writer but that shouldn't mean I shouldn't write and how can I improve without reasonable, constructive, precise criticism?
Chapter 1: I arrive
Hello everyone, I….I am…um….I dunno who I am, I don't even though where I am. Great I'm lost, and I don't know who I am, maybe I have information on my person.
I'm frisking, I'm frisking no, nothing but my PSP. But wait! I'm wearing black and silver coloured trainers, blue denim jeans, my t shirt is black and silver with the Play Station logo on it. I'm also wearing a black and silver coloured cardigan along with black leather fingerless gloves and black sunglasses. I can definitely feel my clothes as I'm frisking, so that suggests I am not dreaming. From the colour of my skin I am a Caucasian.
I know I'm an adult male, my gut feeling says that I'm in my early twenties, and I must be into the PlayStation a lot, I have amnesia that has to be it. Now all I need to do is work out who I am and what I am doing here?
Maybe me being a huge fan of the PlayStations have something to do with it, but it does concern me as to why am I here with no former memories, no knowledge nothing. I can only hope I'll get some clues in this place, I best have a look around and see if I can get my bearings.
I look to see the sky being completely cloudless and the sun is high shining bright, it's nice and warm too, ideal temperature for me. For the ground all I see is a long modern road of black bitumen which I'm next to. I dunno where it goes to but I guess I should follow it.
I am walking along this path with nothing else to guide me, but then I hear the noise of a fast sports car. It brings a smile to my face as I love fast sports cars; the noise of the engines, the smell of its petrol, the sight of them as well as the adrenaline I get from them, knowing how fast they can travel and this one ticks all the boxes for me.

I see the car, it's a Bugatti Veyron. It's Black and has the Play Station logo on the hood. It's heavily customised with a nice roof, spoilers and side attachments, there's also black sirens on the top, black windows and pulse black neon lights, though they're not on due to it being day time. I really like the exterior of this car, I like heavily customised cars and it's nice to see one approach me. I wonder who's driving this magnificent vehicle?
The car then does a 90 degree turn so I can see the left hand side of the car. I am liking this car as I see more and more of it, the side is black with a silver colour at the bottom of the sides. Also on the side is a picture of who I remember to be Lady Black Heart from Hyperdimension Neptunia, she's the goddess of Lastation which is the Play Station to you and me. To me she is the personification of the Play Station.
Ah seeing these pictures does bring back memories. I do wonder whether I'll have more memories of the past, as well as previous knowledge as I see more and more stuff in this new land I'm in.
After what I've seen my gut feeling tells me that this is Noire's car. I now have memories of Noire though these are from playing Neptunia.
Noire has always been my favourite character, she is such a hard worker and is a CPU who doesn't just care about her people, but cares about being the best and training hard to get there. I've always liked her ethics, they're the best and I'll always consider her to be the best CPU. I can also relate to her as she has struggled in the art of socialising. Though I have no specific memories, I always knew that I never was a people person at all. It's great that she wishes to become a voice actress and is into cosplaying, something that I now remember doing from time and time which I enjoyed very much. What I especially liked was how she was a fan of the consoles that I now remember supporting the PlayStations.
Unfortunately despite having such high genuine opinions of her, I'm not sure I really want to see her. The reason is simple though: it's her tsundere. While I remember the trait being popular I've always hated that trait. I just don't like how it makes her incredibly nasty, not to mention making her look silly as well as a hypocrite. As a matter of fact I never liked how she was portrayed at all, seeing her being defeated all the time, seeing various bad stuff happen to her, not least of which seeing her portrayed as a villain and being humiliated countless times. It was such a shame and I never really felt I got to see her succeed, or even see her perspective that much or even play as her. It was dreadful and now I'm dreading the idea of having to fight my CPU, something I've always hated from the series.
It is then I see an attractive tall Caucasian female in her early twenties stepping out from the right hand side of the car, and by god she looks so beautiful to me.
I see that she looks like Black Heart from the game in her HDD form. Her beautiful green eyes show the power symbol as well as kindness and understanding. Her white super shiny, super long hair is flowing as the wind blows. It's very thick and there's loads of it. It's so long that it reaches her thighs and it covers her fringe with bangs, and even sticks out on each side of her head. It also covers her sexy back, beautiful bum as well as the sides of her attractive body completely like a blanket. I've always loved her untied long pretty hair, it makes her look so sexy, cool, classy and badass. And yet her hair seems to look even better than what I remember from the games.
I'm amazed with how attractive she is. As I love how her black plug suit with silver patterns on it looks so cool and sexy, as well as how it shows off her amazing womanhood. It kinda looks like a latex bathing suit which covers her chest, some of her magnificent woman hood as well as the lower part of her back. The tall black boots she also wears as well as her super long shoulder length gloves, that are black with a good part of them being silver in her inner upper arms and at the palms of her hands, as well as having gauntlets on top with claws on her fingers and thumbs, as well as around the wrist that also look like claws look awesome too. Like her hair her outfit again appears more attractive than before.
I really love this form for many reasons, not least of which because of how she resembles the colours of the PS3. I also like how tall she is, she's about the same height as me as her legs appear to go on for miles. She definitely looks like a goddess to me, especially having the perfect outfit to go with her perfect heavenly body.
She even smells nice as she appears to wear some sort of perfume, which consists of scents that although I'm not sure of what they are, they're very nice as they're aromatic and fresh. It makes me feel very warm inside and I love the smell of her perfume.
What makes it even more wonderful is that she's smiling and appears very warm and friendly. It's rather unusual as any previous thoughts of how I hated Noire's portrayal or how I'm worried she'll bite my head off, or worse defeat me very badly have faded. Instead my gut is now telling me that she is someone to be trusted with my life, and I sense her being pleasant. For her mere presence alone to calm my fears, it makes me appreciate her even more.
Yes she does appear to be different indeed. While she appears more attractive than usual, she also appears more friendly and welcoming yet more flirtatious and cool. It's also interesting to note that even though her form would suggest she's ready to fight, and I'm the only one she can fight, she doesn't appear hostile at all or in any mood to fight me. She just stands there, her body language soothing me and reassuring me that she means no harm.
I can't help but be baffled why Noire is different? Something tells me that I'm not in her universe or at least the universe is different. In any case I already like it here, especially how from first impressions Noire appears to be more like how I wish she was in the games. And one other thing I like about her is that she drives one of the best if not the best hyper cars available: the Bugatti Veyron.
I think Noire can tell when or even what I'm thinking, as she steps out of her car after thinking about my worries. I also think she's allowing me to have time to relax and change from a stressed, frustrated individual, to someone relaxed full of excitement. It is now she speaks to me.
"Greetings Black it is a pleasure to meet you, it's so wonderful to see you. I am Lady Black Heart CPU of Lastation but you can call me Noire, would you like a lift in my car?" She sounds very friendly and caring with a hint of flirting, there's not a single trace of anger or her tsundere trait, perhaps she isn't a tsundere here. I can also tell she is genuinely very happy to see me, as she's smiling a lot towards me in a genuine yet flirting manner.
Wowwwwwwww. I love the sound of her voice, she has a lovely accent that sounds posh and sophisticated. It reminds me of somewhere nice but I forget where. She also sounds very kind and caring too, unlike her portrayal in the games she doesn't sound socially awkward at all. If anything she's very friendly and welcoming, and yet she's constantly flirting with me in any way she can be it the way she talks, or the way she stands there smiling.
It's interesting how she calls me Black. Hmmm I remember Noire being the French name for black and it does come back to me, how there were 3 CPUs that were called by the French colour. I must admit I like the name Black, it is the main colour of the PS3.
I now remember how Lastation was a name based on the PlayStation. I only hope that this Lastation will be better than the one I remember in the series, it was awful full of smoke, pollution, dirt, decay, it didn't even make sense considering how I thought they were about technology. I mustn't feel down now if the Noire I see before is not the Noire I remember from the games, then I'm sure the Lastation we'll get to see will be loads better than the one in the games.
My gut now tells me that I must be in some general gaming universe, as Noire is driving a high tech car and cars are often featured in PlayStation games. Another point is that my name is Black, the implication being that I could be a male CPU and Neptunia never had male CPUs. Last but not least this Noire is not just different but better in my personal opinion.
I can't help but wonder whether this universe is centred around my likes and dislikes, and yet I have a feeling I was from somewhere else. I think that what I remember about the goddess I see before me is starting to come back, yet something tells me I have seen her before face to face.
Funnily enough out of nowhere some green text appears by the side of Noire. It says Noire and there's some green text by the side of her car, which says Noire's car probably confirming her being friendly. What she said is written in white text at the bottom of my vision. I'm finding it difficult to control my emotions, my body feels a bit funny perhaps from being awe in her presence, it's not pain but it's hard to describe it. Though one of my emotions is awkwardness as she has spoken to me and all I've done is think, taking what is happening in for quite a while now. I'd expect her to be angry with me for this, but instead she stands there in her friendly yet sexy pose. She must know how awkward it is for me to think about what's going on.
"Hello Noire, I'll gladly get in. Do you know where I am?" I respond.
"You're in Lastation Black are you ok? This must be quite the experience for you, I hope you're not stressed out from all this." She sounds as if she is looking out for me, and from what she says I'm forgiven for thinking too long.
"Yeah I'm fine… I just have amnesia I don't think I'm around here. You're right though it is a lot to take in. But thank you for your kindness and understanding, I appreciate you giving me a lift." I respond though I end up sounding quite confused.
"It's alright anytime, I'm glad you're ok. To be honest unfortunately I'm a bit unsure of how you came here, though I knew you'd arrive here. With that said I have a gut feeling that your arrival is more than coincidence. I believe you're here because I happen to know that you possess the skills we need for us to prosper." She explains.
Prosper eh? I wonder how and she does have a point that maybe I'm here to help her. That idea makes me happy, happy that I get to be working with my favourite CPU on the side of the console, I remember to have always supported: the PlayStations. Though I have much curiosity as to how can I help my CPU, I decide to let her explain when the time is right, and just take in the wonderful time I'm experiencing right now.
And so it is then we get in the car together. As I get inside I notice the interior looking fantastic and surprisingly very spacious. The black leather seats are very comfortable, they remind me of gaming chairs. As I look around I notice various screens which show various buttons to press, as well as what look likes an interior microwave. There are plenty of cup holders as well as storage to put various essential items in.
I notice how to my right Noire isn't driving with a steering wheel, but with a PS3 controller. I can't help but thinking how sexy Noire is sat there with her long arms, that are covered in her cool stylish gloves, held out holding the controller. She then gives me a playful smile and even puts some aviator sunglasses on. I must admit it's very cool to see my CPU drive this car. She's an amazing driver as well, as right now we're driving at about 300kmph and she has such quick reactions.
I really love how she's nice, polite and friendly, which includes the way she speaks. It's really great how she's flirting with me too. It's an honour to be in the car with her right now, to begin my time with her. I must admit though it's unusual to encounter her at all let alone seeing her like this, especially in her HDD mode speaking of which:
"Noire?" I ask.
"Yes Black?" She replies in her friendly tone.
"I like your HDD mode but out of curiosity why are you in that mode? Are we in danger?" I ask casually.
"Oh this outfit?" She chuckles a bit which sounds pleasant, "Oh…oh I just wear it for cosmetic purposes, you know to look attractive I thought you'd like it. Thinking about it, it does make me stronger. I can transform back if you want?" She keeps the friendly, caring tone going as she talks.
"Nah keep it on, I prefer it like that it shows the PS3 colours. You look so badass and awesome in this form. The thing is don't you have to transform back to conserve power?" I ask her.
"Thank you for your kind words Black. No I don't need to transform back, for one thing your presence alone provides me with lots of power." She explains to me.
"My presence? Ok." I say that even though I'm a bit bewildered. Though then again perhaps it makes sense considering what I have seen with her, I like that concept as well.
I can't help but wonder whether I have skills that are video game related, because I do prefer Noire in her HDD state. Maybe that's one of my abilities; to be able to see people in different attires that I like best. Another skill is that goddesses are powered by faith and since I have a lot of faith in her (and her consoles: PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3) she must be very powerful. One odd thing though is I didn't think she could drive. I've never seen her drive in the series, but maybe I must be in a general video game universe as opposed to a specific one just as I've thought.
I decide to speak to this goddess of mine some more, try and get to know more of the benevolent sexy Noire I see before me.
"You know a lot about me, but mind you I know a lot about you." I say smiling.
"Such as what Black?" I notice how she keeps looking at me, as if to reassure me that I'm safe. I think she's looking out for me which is very nice.
"I know you are considered the ideal goddess, and I believe you to be worthy of having the title of true goddess. You're kind, forgiving, hardworking, fair, you believe in being future proof and also trying to do everything, you're also into being high tech. The thing is so do I. I wish to say I'm extremely pleased to see you." I say to her.
"Thanks for the compliment Black, as CPU of Lastation I always do my best for the people. I have something for you it's in the glove compartment." She shakes her head towards it as she speaks.
I open it up to find a G Con 45 without the wiring. Ah this is the PS1 light gun. Even by looking at the grey gun I imagine it to be powerful.
"That's the G Con 45 Black it's very powerful, it has 6 bullets and unlimited clips. An excellent weapon if I may say so myself." She says this with pride. I enjoy hearing Noire speaking with pride, or being patriotic.
"Hmmm. Can I shoot out the window to try it?" I ask her.
"Sure. I should tell you it's weak right now, but the more you use it the better the gun will be." She advises.
"Like a shoot em up video game? I get it." I respond.
I shoot the gun out of the window and surprisingly it works, I even like the sound of it as I recognise the sound to be from Time Crisis 1. I realised what she said, the fire rate is too slow. I fire 6 bullets. Hopefully I won't have to do too much grinding but if it's a one shot one kill gun, then the slowness won't matter much to me.
"How do you reload Noire?" I ask her.
"You press the A button." She replies.
I press the red button on the side, the thing is it took 6 seconds to reload but it's not too long for me.
"OK Thanks for that it'll be very useful. Don't get me wrong I will gladly help, but why are my skills required?" I ask my CPU while thinking.
"Because The Console Wars 7th Generation is about to begin soon. Lastation was formed during the 5th Generation with me as the leader and goddess of this land. It wasn't until the 6th Generation when Leanbox invaded our land, we did our best but they were too strong. We were fortunate the war ended as a truce but sadly Leanbox is near our doorstep, and it's only a matter of time before they invade.
I don't know why or how they were successful; I know you can do this Black. I know you can save Lastation." She explains to me.
I notice her pleasant face has gone, and she looks a bit worried, I understand why though. She tries to get her pleasant face back though. I can't help but wonder who Leanbox are, but I'm sure I'll know soon enough.
"I'll do my best Noire. The thing is I'll need training, equipment and command of the Lastation Military if you're fine with this." I suggest.
"Sure it will be my pleasure, I'll even let you live with me and Uni." She replies with a smile on her face.
"Great thanks." I said with joy.
I remember Uni being Noire's younger sister from the same game, who represents the PSP. Though it's annoying that I don't remember anything about her other than that, or her appearance for some reason. I'll probably have to wait before I see her face to face, before my memories of her come back to me.
Surprise surprise as if on cue, we have arrived at the capital of Lastation which is called PS3 City. Boy of boy do I like the look of the city, it feels more like a metropolis, maybe even a utopia.
