Have you ever just gone through your documents and come across an old work? This is a poem I wrote for the book - a very short summary of the book as a whole. Majorly short. Purely written for an English assignment, but I don't think the teacher ever gave it back to me... So I thought I would post it on here and possibly see what people think. Ehehe... Enjoy?

Winston Smith

Of the age of thirty-nine

Alone in a world of madness

Where he alone is in possession of mind

War is Peace

That is how it goes

Freedom is Slavery

That is a line that everyone knows

Ignorance is Strength

That is the final line

But in what world, in who's dream

Does strength coincide with mind?

Ah, but it is sure will

That grants some with such power

Yet is also very dangerous

And grants others their final hour

The Party

A large, manipulative thing

Where private thoughts do not exist

And Big Brother is always watching.
