The Cake
Ran was walking into the agency when she felt the building shake and a sound of something exploding from the kitchen. She quickly ran upstairs and found the kitchen in shambles and smoke covering the area. She went to find the window and opened it. As the smoke cleared she found Conan by the oven, coughing. Next to him was something black in a pan. "Conan-kun what are trying to do?" she asked walking over to him.
"I'm trying to make a birthday cake, but, well as you can see." He told her looking at the chard thing on the counter.
"Really, would you like me to help?" Conan thought about it for a second then nodded. Ran lifted the black cake and dumped it into the trash. She washed it out and put it back onto the counter. "Now what type of cake do you want to make?"
"A chocolate one," Ran reached into a cupboard near her and pulled out the mix.
"So then let's get started." Conan nodded and they started. There was a ding noise an hour and forty-five minutes later. Ran pulled the cake out of the oven. "Would you like to decorate it yourself?" Conan nodded. "Well then I should get to the office and see how much it is trashed, if you need any help let me know, okay." Conan nodded again and she left.
'I wonder what I should put on it.' Conan thought. He grinned when he got a sudden idea.
Later that night…
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU IDIOTS, CATCH HIM!!!" came a shout below. Kid grinned as he soured passed the tall buildings. He saw something from the corner of his eye, on a nearby building. He turned and landed. He looked down and saw a small box with a card on it.
For Kid, from the one that is going to catch you one day.
Kid grinned at knowing who left it there. He wondered if he should open it or not and looked it over for any traps. Not finding any he opened it. In it was a cake with white frosting and black lettering.
Very funny slipping in your birthday on the notice, I don't know if it is your real birthday, but here you go. Enjoy, you annoying thief, you won't believe what I did to get this for you. -_-
Kid's grin grew bigger. 'Well wasn't that nice of him.'
Sorry about this one being short as well, I actually typed this up for Sama of the KaiHhin army, for her b-day. I didn't really know how to end it.
