Fayt drew an arm across his forehead, gasping at the sunlight glaring through the trees. He glanced to his left- Nel was finishing off the last of the thieving scumbags that had attacked her. A quick look to the left revealed Cliff being mobbed by more of the little creeps. Three veered off from the main group, heading in Fayt's direction. Trusting that Cliff could more than take care of himself, he lined up an attack to intercept his new opponents.
The ground began to shake under Fayt's feet, and he grinned, knowing Cliff's enemies were about to be fried. Two quick swipes dispatched all but one of his attackers before Cliff's attack manifested. As he aimed his sword at the final thieving scumbag, he heard Cliff call out his attack.
"The Air is Moist!"
His sword missed, leaving an opening for the small man to whack him once on the head and scram. Fayt looked up at Cliff from the ground, rubbing the newly formed lump on his forehead.
"What was that!?"
Cliff grinned, planting a fist on each hip, "I got bored with saying the same thing every time I use my Sphere of Might. Thought I'd change it up a bit, get a little variety."
"And 'the air is moist' was the best thing you could come up with?" Nel asked as she helped Fayt up.
"Not my best work, I'll give you that," the big man shrugged, "It was the first thing I noticed when we went outside today." Seeing the looks his companions were giving him, he crossed his arms, "I guess I'll have to work on it some more."
The thieving scumbag that had scrammed from Fayt earlier had got his courage back, and had snuck up behind Cliff while they carried on their discussion. He raised his dagger just as Cliff noticed his presence and turned to lay the smackdown on him.
"The Grass is Green!"
Author's note: This actually came about because I was playing SO the other day, and my sister stormed into my room and yelled "Who keeps saying 'the air is moist'!? It's annoying!" I looked at her funny for a second, and then Cliff did his Sphere of Might attack, causing her to look at my TV like it was gonna sprout legs. I died laughing and couldn't get this image out of my head for three days.
