William's P.O.V.
I walked to Jeremy's dorm ready to talk. I knocked on the door.
"Come in." He called. I walked in and sat on his bed.
"What's up William?" Jeremy started.
"Well about Yumi…." I trailed off.
"Here we go again William. Why don't you learn when to give up? God. I mean give up she's with Ulrich."
"Jeremy I love her." I argued.
"No you don't William. You met her on the first day and started flirting with her. There was never any competition, maybe in Ulrich's eyes but never in Yumi's eyes. She loves him, and he loves her. They stand up for each other and they hang together. Yumi doesn't want any playboy she wants someone to love. You got to parties banging random chicks. That's not love. You can't just go and say you love someone you have to mean it."
"But, but." I tried.
"Not buts William. You have to remember in life that you'll get your heart broken in return you'll break hearts. You adore the ones that ignore you and ignore the ones that adore you. You gave up on great girls like Emily, Heidi and many other girls to run behind a girl that was already taken, and you knew that."
"I thought I had a chance." I tried to explain.
"No you didn't William. You knew from the beginning that she was just a prize in your eyes. And she knew that. If you really love her let her go."
"No Jeremy you have to fight to the end."
"Some say holding on is what makes you strong, but in reality letting go and moving on is really what makes you strong. If you love her, truly and dearly, let her go so she can be happy with the one she loves."
"What do I do Jeremy?" I asked.
"Let her know that you love her enough to let her go and be happy. But, don't tell her that because I said so, tell her that because you mean it. I'll tell you like this love works in mysterious ways. A girl won't come to you if she feels like she haves to. You'll know when you've found the 'one'. Everyone thought Aelita would like me. And she did at first. I thought she had to go out with me. I thought she had to love me. Aelita always was rebellious that's why I lost her to Odd. Love isn't a life for a life. She didn't have to do all those things because I saved her a life. Just because you got your heart broken doesn't mean that you have to stop looking. As they say they're more fish in the sea. Not don't get all teary on me, because I'm telling the truth." Jeremy finished.
"Thanks Jeremy. I needed that."
He just nodded as I got up and wiped my eyes and left.
