I, for some reason, actually like this poem I wrote. xD

Anyways, it's 2 characters' POV. (I'll let you guess.) And it's indicated by itallics. (Hopefully, they show up.) If not, every other line is a different character. Like, line one may be Misao, line two Aoshi, line 3 Misao, line four Aoshi, etc. (But it's not Misao/Aoshi. XDDDD)

I thought I had your heart.

i You've completely captured my heart. /i

And I thought I had changed your mind.

i But still I could not bear to change my mind. /i

And realization hit me like a ton of bricks.

i I did not want to deliver such bad news. /i

That you were actually going to leave.

i But I wanted to say goodbye. /i

And I felt your arms around me.

i I couldn't help but take you into my arms one last time. /i

And I didn't want to believe it.

i I wish it weren't true. /i

But I knew this was what you had to do.

i I wished it wasn't something I had to do. /i

And then you gently aplogized.

i I had to say I was sorry. /i

But nothing was your fault.

i Your pain was all my fault /i

I could tell you didn't want to leave.

iWhat I would have given just to stay with you! /i

But you suddenly let me go.

i I knew if I had waited, I'd never let you go. /i

And I fell to my knees.

i I wanted to console you; tell you everything was to be fine./i

The tears fell like rain.

i But if I had looked back,/i

Love was shattered; pain was all I felt.

i ....I would have surrendered my heart to you. /i

I wanted you to love me enough to stay.

iBut I know you deserve better than I; Someone without a bloodstained past. /i

I wish you felt love for me, too.

i....The past will repeat itself; I can't hurt and lose you too. /i

The past is forgotten, I only look to the future.

i Once was a deadly mistake I will pay for all my life. /i

Why can't you believe me when I tell you?

i And your death would be my fault. /i

I would rather die than be alone again.

i And if I wished for anything, it would be.../i

If I had one wish...

i...The chance to be with you. /i

I'd wish for you to be with me.

i Under different circumstances. /i

If things were maybe just a bit different.

i In a different day, a different time.../i

If the past had never happened.....

i We could have been in love. /i

We might be able to be in love.

i But until then.../i

But I will wait.

i ...I will wait for the right time.../i

The time will come.

i And then maybe we could be in love.../i

I'll wait forever to be in love.
