Strange And Beautiful (I'll Put A Spell On You)
Tara was absentmindedly staring out her bedroom window, humming a song picked up somewhere. It was catchy. Kind of eerie. It brought her a feeling, one sequestered from the rest of hers, but she couldn't quite pick out which it was.
Thoughts were swirling in her head; thoughts of life, of love, of her life and her love. A small smile graced her face as she let her mouth form words, let her eyes close, and her voice start.
Quietly the humming turned into singing, Tara's melodic voice soft at first, then gaining volume.
'I've been watching your world from afar
I've been trying to be where you are
and I've been secretly falling apart
I'll see..'
She started, humming a little again before singing more, not noticing the door silently opening and closing behind her.
'To me, you're strange and you're beautiful
you'd be so perfect with me but you just can't see,
you turn every head but you don't see me.'
The visitor sat, perched on the inside of the door, holding their breath, gazing at the singing woman. She was on a fall backdrop, nearly winter. The autumn colours brought out her eyes, the visitor could tell, even without meeting them.
'I'll put a spell on you
you'll fall asleep and I'll put a spell on you
and when I wake you,
I'll be the first thing you see
and you'll realize that you love me..'
The visitor made a quiet move towards Tara, smiling slightly before announcing her arrival.
"You know.. you don't need to use magick on me. You're already in my heart."
Tara turned, startled. She calmed when she felt her soul mates arms drape around her
"And why don't you serenade me like that?" Willow smiled as she whispered into the others ear.
"I-I didn't know you were in here. You shouldn't sneak up on me like that, you know!" Tara became flustered, her cheeks reddening and her voice becoming quieter, more rushed, than it was before.
"Don't worry, it was beautiful. You're beautiful." Will grinned and pulled her closer, their lips eventually meeting. Willow wore a broad grin when their kiss ended.
"Could you.. I don't know, finish the song? Please?" She looked down at Tara with hope in her eyes.
Tara sighed, letting a small, self-conscious smile onto her face.
'Sometimes the last thing you want comes in first;
sometimes the first thing you want never comes
but I know that waiting is all you can do,
sometimes..'
