Assassin Cats Trilogy: Prequel
Desmond sighed as he rose from the surface of the Animus. This was pretty much all he ever did now, and all he ever heard was, "Desmond go to the Animus, Desmond do this- Desmond do that!" He really did not like being bossed around like that but it was better than world domination by the Templars, right? Desmond then walked over to Rebecca.
"Hey." He said.
"Hey, what's up Desmond?" She replied.
"I haven't done anything, really. As you should know."
"Right."
"Hey so I was wondering-"
Desmond was suddenly cut off by a loud crash, followed by Shaun yelling.
"Guys! Something's wrong!"
Desmond and Rebecca quickly ran toward Shaun.
"What is it?" Rebecca and Desmond both yelled.
"I don't know but Desmond you need to get back in the Animus, NOW!" Shaun replied.
Desmond just gave Shaun a "really?" look and Shaun just pointed at the Animus. Desmond quickly ran back to the Animus and got back in it. While Desmond was in the Animus loading zone Rebecca and Shaun were trying to figure out what was going on.
"So what happened Shaun?" Rebecca asked.
"It's some sort of glitch in the Animus. It's a bit more advanced than my computer is willing to scan." Shaun replied.
Rebecca's computer then flashed red and she ran over to it. "Oh my god! The glitch is affecting Desmond! He's in a coma."
"Will the glitch affect his ancestors?" Shaun asked.
"I don't know, your computer needs to scan the glitch."
"It's working on it."
"Check Desmond, make sure he's actually in a coma and not dead."
Shaun then walked over to Desmond and checked his pulse. "He is alive." Shaun's computer then turned white and listed the name of the glitch. "Hey my computer has found the glitch!" Shaun yelled.
"Great, what is it?" Rebecca asked.
"Baffo Virus?" Shaun replied, confused.
"Baffo Virus? What's that?"
"I don't know. I'm afraid we'll have to find out ourselves." Shaun replied as he looked at Desmond.
"Alright… I'll be monitoring then." Lucy said as she walked back to her computer. She then nodded at Shaun and sent Desmond into a memory.
Desmond awoke as Altaïr. He didn't remember a lot of details about Altaïr, but he knew enough to keep low suspicion. The one thing Desmond remembered was the phrase Altaïr had made, "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." "Nothing is true, everything is purrmitted."
