The Frog Princess
"So, you're a prince," Lady Milly asked, as she tried to breathe in the fancy gown her mother had forced her into. It was supposed to be a great honor to meet members of the royal family, but it seemed very itchy. "So, can you turn into a frog?"
Prince Lelouch looked confused. "What are you talking about?" he asked. He was very short for a Prince Charming but he was very pretty, so maybe he was just hiding his secret.
"Well, if you kiss a frog, he'll turn into a prince. So if you kiss a prince, does he turn into a frog?" Milly asked. It seemed logical to her. She tugged at the bow in her hair and wondered why her mother had dressed her so uncomfortably.
Lelouch shrugged. "I don't think it works that way," he said, looking uncomfortable at the question. His violet eyes looked around for his mother, who was quite busy talking to Milly's own Mama.
"Well, how do you know?" Milly asked. She thought it was something worth knowing. What if he accidently got kissed by a grandma and turned into a frog right in the middle of the throne room. "You better check!"
Prince Lelouch shifted in the chair. "I don't like this," he said softly, but Milly had already walked around the table. "Go away." He tried to move, but Milly was already standing in front of him, blocking the exit.
"Her highness said you had to play with me, and I want you to turn into a frog. If you won't, I'll cry,' Milly said, knowing that even princes had to obey their mommies. "And then you'll be in big trouble."
"Oh fine!" Prince Lelouch pecked her on the cheek. "You see? I'm still a prince," he mumbled, obviously quite put off. "Can we play chess instead?"
Milly rolled her eyes. 'That's not true love's first kiss. Don't you know anything?" she asked, before kissing him full on the lips. It was nice, he had very nice skin, all soft and nice. "Now I know you're not going to turn into a frog. I just solved a problem of national security. You should thank me!"
Prince Lelouch was red faced. "Girls areā¦are silly," he hissed, pushing her away, obviously upset. "And you're the silliest!"
Milly laughed. "And you are lucky you're still a prince. If it wasn't true love's first kiss, you'd be on the floor, croaking!" she said. "You must love me!" Suddenly, she was glad she was in such an ugly dress. She should look special on the day she met her special guy.
"Silly, silly, girls!" Prince Lelouch said, but he didn't stop her from holding his hand all day. Or letting her kiss him again when she left.
That night, as Milly got into bed, she had already decided that soemday, she would kiss that prince again. And someday, she would become his princess.
After all, true love's kiss had to be right!
