Don't own anything.

I've written so much tragedy before, you think it would be easy, but it's not. It's different, it's real this time, she's dead. One more tragic fic, and then I am writing happy fics because she needs to stay alive, and I'm keeping her alive with happiness, it's the proper way. He's referred to as Don in this because I think it fits.

Don looked at the grave in front of him, it read Jessica Angell. Beloved daughter, sister and friend.

He looked at the object in front of him, if they had had time, if they had moved faster, something else could be written on that tombstone.

Tears flowed freely and powerful cries ripped from his throat. Cries for his lost love.

Love lasts beyond death, but the hurt only fades a little. Silent whispers float through the air around his head, but he won't hear, he's too caught up in his own pain.

Anger flashes through him, anger at the unfairness of death, the lost time, the sadness in his own eyes.

He would honour her memory though, even past his own death.

He didn't get to give her his surprise, he was planning to that night, but the chance got taken away.

Staring at the surprise now, he smiled, a sad, bittersweet smile. Watching the tombstone in front of him, he placed the ring on the ground. The diamond sparked with sunlight, but he turned away before a new pain could be brought upon him.

With one last look at the name, he walked away.

The ghost of his love watched him walk away, tears flowing down her own invisible cheeks.

Glittering, but almost transparent, that's what ghosts were.

She saw the shining ring and smiled, she would have loved to wear it, but she had to go.

It had been her time, death had stepped in and intervened.

She understood that. but it still hurt.

The loss of life, the loss of the ones she loved, it had been unbearable.

Sighing, she watched the tall figure walk out the gate, and the ghost of Jessica Angell disappeared into the ground.

I don't really do spiritual/supernatural very often, even with romance. This was interesting to write, and I loved it. If someone was to ask me if I believed in ghosts, I think I would nod, I believe there is some after-life there, it's fun to believe in, and funner to write. I hoped you enjoyed!

Love always, Heavenly...
