Summary: Jude and Tommy had a daughter, they were married, a happy little family, but a death tore them apart, because their daughter was in a terrible car accident with Jude. Sometimes and Always
Sometimes, in the thick of the night, when she was alone.
She would dream of their family.
Sometimes, in the cool of the morning, she would walk to his house.
It was something she did when she missed their child.
She would knock on the door.
He would always answer; they both had tears in their eyes.
"It wasn't our fault." They always reassured each other.
They always held each other for hours.
They always stayed together for hours.
Sometimes she would leave, when his new girlfriend came over.
He would try to stop her, sometimes.
"I don't love her." He would cry.
"You don't love me!" She would sob.
But it was always the same,
She would come back,
Hold each other.
Stay together.
Then leave.
Until the day she left him.
He was tired of the shit blocking his head.
It was his fault.
He lost their child.
He wrote a note, sweet and sour.
I'm sorry baby. I know it was my entire fault.
Maybe we wouldn't have left each other alone.
Sometimes I wonder if we ever really did love each other.
Now I know that's not true.
We never loved each other.
We were never best friends...
We were each other's destiny.
But destiny's die.
I'm sorry,
I love you.
Then he put the barrel to his head.
Closing his eyes, fighting back tears.
There was a knock at the door.
He dropped the pistol.
He felt the tears fall down his cheeks and he smiled to himself.
Crawling off the bed, he ventured downstairs, and to the front door.
She was clutching her shoulders, shaking, it was snowing.
He smiled at her, tears freshly falling down both their cheeks.
Sometimes in the cool of the morning, he would find her here.
Knocking on his door.
It was something she did when she missed their child.
Which was always.
He took her in his arms, ashamed at the thought of the note upstairs.
They always loved each other.
It was never his fault.
It was nobody's.
He needed to stay in this world.
He needed to stay and yes, sometimes he would cry, but so would she.
But they would always be there for each other.
They would always hold each other for hours.
It was something they did when they missed their child.
They said they would love each other, until death do them part.
And they did.
