I'm on such a Miguel/Kai kick at the moment. This is a big thanks to NiennaAngel who has written so many lovely fics. Go on, you really, really should read them. They're good!
A soft, warm summer breeze, wisps through the park picking up small leaves and flower petals, making them dance to an unknown beat in the air. The sultry air of summer lingers in the afternoon air. Surprisingly the park was almost deserted. A lone figure laid in the grass, on his back, his eyes closed, enjoying the warmth from the setting sun. The dark of night still a few hours away.
He loved Summer, so warm, so relaxing. It was the perfect excuse to lay around and do nothing at all and no one will call you lazy.
The sun and warmth reminded this individual of someone. Someone people consider to be cold. But in reality, he was quite fiery and passionate in everything he does.
"There you are. I've been looking for you."
Ah, speak of the devil. Miguel thought. He opened his eyes and looked up at Kai. Kai smiled softly down at him, the light of the sun caught in his hair, his eyes shimmering. No, I mean angel.
"You found me." Miguel said, sitting up a bit.
"Yes, I did." Kai responded. He knelt down behind Miguel. He puts his hands on the blonde's shoulders, pulling him back down so he laid on his back with his head resting in Kai's lap.
Smiling, Miguel laid back down, his eyes drifting shut. He likes being out in the sun but he loves it more when Kai is with him. Kai begin to slowly run his hands through Miguel's golden strains. They moved like liquid gold through his fingers. Kai loved running his fingers through Miguel's hair. His hair was untamed but tidy. It didn't look like a rats nest like some people's Kai could name.
"Are you trying to make me fall asleep here, Kai?" Miguel asked, opening one of his sapphire blue eyes.
"You have not been sleeping well, have you Miguel?" Kai asked, not once stopping in his caress.
"How can you tell?"
"I have my ways. Sleep now if you wish. I'll watch over you." Kai whispered.
"I know you will. You always do." Miguel whispered back. He lifted his hand up, moving it behind Kai's head, bringing his head down towards his.
Kai momentarily stopped in his caress and pressed his lips against Miguel's. The kiss was soft and sensual. They caressed their lips together in a small display of affection.
They pulled apart slightly and Kai gently ran his fingers over Miguel's soft lips. He pressed their lips together again and whispered. "Go to sleep, Miguel."
He sat up straight and smiled down at Miguel. Miguel returned the smile and closed his eyes. Kai resumed with his gentle caresses even after he was sure that Miguel had fallen asleep. He tenderly moved his fingers over the tan cheek and outlined his lips.
Red, orange and purple filled the sky above them as the sun slowly began to set. The air in the park was pleasant and was near deserted. Occasionally a few couples would walk past and nod their heads in acknowledgement towards Kai. Kai would return those nods and turn his gaze back to Miguel.
He leans down and presses his lips against Miguel's one last time then sat up the watch the sun disappear as the stars come out. Eventually he'll have to wake Miguel from his slumber but not yet. For he first time in days, he has no nightmares tonight.
(Tries to hold in a squeal) Was that fluffy enough? Again, like with most of my oneshots, I dunno where this came from. Not complaining, mind you.
Kai: Damn, that was short.
