His heart was ice cold, and considering it was 105 degrees in the shade with no one around made it very peculiar. The M.E. pronounced him D.O.A.

"Time of death"?

M.E. Langley looked up with sarcasm. The body was pale and smooth, fully clothed, with absolutely no sign of struggle or post mortem markings. Frankly speaking Langley was a bit uncomfortable doing her job considering the circumstances. The detective made the call for the morgue to come and pick up the body just as her phone started ringing.

"Another one"!

Langley was in shock. Seemed like the threats of...them, were starting to become actions. Who would've thought? One comes out claiming he wants nothing but peace and to live in harmony out of hiding and all of a sudden a whole flock of them emerges, exactly something to make a person such as herself scared to walk alone at night. Frightened that she'll end up on her own table in the "office".

Det. Harris wasn't as bothered by these intrusions like most were. She always had a kind of soothing energy about her. Seemed like any time she'd come up to anyone who was going through anything such as a death in the family or just a lousy day, she'd always make them smile within a few minutes of just being around them. Before they knew it the morgue transport was on scene and it was time for Langley to leave.

Unfortunately for Carlisle, her night was just getting started. It seemed as if the nights had been getting longer and the days shorter. So much for being well rested for work. No time to complain. Another body was just discovered in the same fashion as this one. Hopefully there would be more clues as to who the killer is with this one unless of course there is more than one.
