Hello everybody! It's me. So, this is the first thing I've ever uploaded, and I would love some feedback. I know it's not perfect, but please, only constructive criticism is acceptable. Thank you! Oh, and before I forget, I don't own any of the characters mentioned below. Enjoy!
The train was running behind schedule, granted it was only five minutes, but five minutes too late. This slight delay was now what Hermione blamed for the loss of her laptop. She could picture it now, sailing away to the next stop despondently for its owner was already too far gone to save it. She had been rushing to get to Integrative Biology; quickly forcing down coffee and rummaging through her purse trying to find a bloody pen. Suddenly the train had stopped and Hermione, the college student, had left the train without her laptop.
With nothing else to do, as class was pointless without her computer, she decided to sit and wait for the train to make its rounds. She did admit, the situation looked bleak. Sadly, she settled on to the hard bench, pulled a book from her purse, and soon found herself absorbed in the world of J. R. R. Tolkien.
"Excuse me Miss, but I believe this is your- Granger?" came the all too familiar drawl of Draco Malfoy, "Granger, what on Earth are you doing in Muggle Los Angeles?" he asked.
"Could say the same to you Malfoy, but I happen to be attending UCLA." she replied, "Now what do you have of mine?" she asked as she turned to face him. He was wearing an all black suit, which she had to admit, complemented his pale skin tone quite nicely. He had grown some since their seventh year; his face had filled out and his eyes had lost the ice cold glint they once held. She also noticed how much healthier he looked, his brows were no longer forced into a perpetual crinkle and his skin had become slightly less porcelain. It was a welcome change. When her eyes left his face, she realized he was holding out her beloved laptop. "My laptop! Merlin's beard Malfoy, where did you find it?" she asked.
"What? Not even a thank you?" Typical Malfoy, always throwing in his unwanted two-cents. "I'll have you know that I happened to see a lone laptop occupying the seat you had just left. So, like the wonderful savior I am, I decided to return it." he replied.
"Wow, modest too." She replied. "I see you haven't changed much." She glanced down at her watch. Ah damn, she thought, 10:45. I'm going to miss this class. "I'm sorry Malfoy, thank you for saving my laptop, but I've got to dash. My class starts in 10 minutes. Good-bye!" she said, turning away from him and heading the stairs up to the surface level. When she looked back, he gave her a little wave and turned to walk away. She must admit, it was nice to see someone from Hogwarts again. She missed the stone halls and all her professors- yes, even Slughorn. She wondered how hard it would be to get a job there, she knew Professor McGonagall was getting old. Maybe she was retiring soo-
"Excuse me Miss, but you dropped something." As she turned, a small girl wearing a green sweater held up a crumpled paper.
"Thank you so much dear." she replied with a smile. It was funny, she didn't remember dropping anything. As she rounded the last corner to exit the station, she unfolded the paper.
Granger,
Fancy a coffee? Ring me up, as they say.

Malfoy
Coffee? She smiled to herself, maybe class wasn't so important today. She glanced back down at her watch, her class has started 4 minutes ago. She would never make it.
What the hell, she thought. Let's have a coffee with Malfoy.
So, that's it! I'm working on something slightly longer for next time; so please, anything you have to say about it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much! See you next time~~
