Hello Everyone! So I've had this idea in my head for a while and I haven't seemed to be able to write anything else, so anyway, I wrote it so I might have the slight chance of getting over my writers block! We'll see! Anyway, I hope you enjoy! (:
Disclaimer; I do not own HOA nor do I own anything else in this story, except the writing itself!
"Fabian, I have to go." She whispered, her warm breath mingling with the cool summer air. After a long pause filled with sniffles, tears, and long embraces, he broke the silence.
"Please, Nina. Just one more minute." His voice cracked and she winced, her heart breaking at the sound.
"I really have to go this time. The taxi's waiting." She breathed. As if on cue, the cabbie beeped the horn irritatedly.
He looked up at her, his eyes glazed over with fresh tears and his face red and puffy from crying. She sobbed and he pulled her in for one more warm, reassuring hug. The world seemed to pass incredibly slow and it felt like everything was happening in super slow motion.
"Promise you'll call me every day?" She questioned, her head rested on his soft shoulder. The words tickled his ear, sending a shiver down his spine.
"I promise." The words were so pure, but it was a promise that could easily be broken.
"And I'll text you every spare minute I have." She pulled away from the soft hug and dropped his hands from her strong grip. He nodded, wiping a few of her tears away with the soft, delicate touch of his fingers.
"And in a month you'll be on a plane, making your way back to me. I'll be right here waiting with open arms." He whimpered. And this time it was her turn to nod, grabbing her suitcase with one hand and caressing Fabian's cheek with the other.
"I'll be back in no time." She smiled, turning away and starting towards the running vehicle with a very agitated cabbie driver.
"I love you Nina..." His words trailed off, drifting into what seemed to be outer space. She turned back for a split second and mouthed the same words, "I love you too, Fabian."
And as she opened the door of the cab, she could hear the sound of Fabian's sobs. Her heart broke more and more with every whimper and broken sob that escaped her boyfriend's mouth. She turned away and slipped into the backseat, pulling her bag with her. Tears slipped down her own face as the cab pulled away and she traveled farther and farther away from the love of her life.
And a month later they had terribly expensive phone bills. The amount of texts they sent everyday cost enough to give anyone a heart attack.
Fabian kept his promise and arrived at the airport two hours early, just in case she happened to land before she was due. He sat in one of the uncomfortable chairs, his leg bouncing in anticipation. It seemed like days before he saw her walk through the rotating doors that led in from the outside.
His heart was racing faster then it ever had been and he stood up, legs shaking and palms sweaty. She spotted him and grinned, practically sprinting over to where he was standing. He enveloped her in a warm hug and spun her around.
"I've missed you so much Nina." He cried, releasing her from his slightly tough grip.
"I've missed you too, Fabian." She smiled, grabbing his hand. He grinned from ear to ear as they grabbed her luggage and walked out of the airport
Reunited.
A/N: I apologize for the extreme cheesiness and fluff, it seems to be the only thing I can write nowadays! Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed it!
I have a snow day today so I'm going to try to get a lot of writing done, or as much as I can anyway!
Thanks for reading! -Emma
