-oO0 Summer before 1st year 0Oo-

The summer bugs buzzed in the grass as Mason tickled the squirming, laughing, JD under him. She was squirming trying to get away from his merciless fingers. Screaming and squirming as she bucked her body under his legs straddling her, pining her to the ground. Mason leaned close his mouth so close to her face she could feel his warm breath on her cheek
'Give up?'

Mason was a year older then the blond Blackburn twins and had just gotten his letter that week to Hogwarts. It was in his excitement still filling him that day, that he a muggle born might be finally accepted into the magical world that he had started the tickle war with JD. A game he often played, during the summer months when he was visiting the Blackburns, with JD and Severus but this time it had been just Mason and JD. Severus had been busy with more serious things then dumb games he had said. Mason didn't mind at all Severus didn't want to play, he loved every minute he got alone with JD for she was the fun one of the twins always willing to play.

JD turned to look up into his eyes grinning playfully 'NEVER!' Her mouth just an inch from his. Her giggles spilling out as he smirked down at her, knowing she was helpless to him.
Before Mason could restart his tickle torture he was plowed off JD by the brute force of Severus coming full force at a sprint tackling Mason sending him flying to the ground beside JD.

'Keep your Hands off MY sister Mudblood!' Severus throwing the slur he never used with their childhood friend. Guilt at using the word was obvious on his face as soon as he used it but his protective nature of his sister wouldn't let him back down as he glared at Mason. Mason was sprawled on the grass looking up at the blond Blackburn boy, having the pure bloods standing over him was the story of Mason's life.

Mason had been graciously invited to stay at the Blackburn's by the Blackburn parents every summer. But Severus never allowed Mason to forget that he was nothing more then some charity case of a muggle boy that had shown a glimmer of magic fairly young. Mason hadn't even held out hope that he would get invited to attend Hogwarts school, that the Blackburn family all had or would attend.
When he had gotten his letter a few days before, he had been on an emotional high since getting the invitation. Yet still there was Severus standing over him, reminding Mason his place in the trio. Mason flashed his endearing smile up at Severus not letting his friend's over protectiveness darken his spirit. Over the years Mason had learned to be careful around Severus when it came to JD, he chalked it up to them being twins, but he would probably always have a certain respect for brothers even more.

'How about we play truth or dare instead of tickle war.'
Severus shrugged knowing exactly where this game was going to go. The three of them had played this game for years every summer and it almost always ended with lots of giggles and kisses. He even had heard his sister claiming she used the game to practice kissing on the two of them so she wouldn't be a bad kisser when she finally got to Hogwarts. It knotted his stomach up that she had plans to kiss other boys when they got to Hogwarts but he would cross that bridge when it came.
JD was instantly off the ground and she was looking excited at the idea of playing her favorite game with her favorite two people in the world. Her arms wrapped around the two boys and grinned as she hugged them tight.

'OH YEAH let's do Truth or Dare.'
Severus just gave a shrug hoping that someday when they would grow out of this silly game for he really didn't enjoy when JD would dare him to kiss Mason, even if it was on the cheek.
Mason grinned at JD the two of them accepting the shrug of Severus's as agreeing to the game. Soon the three of them were sitting cross legged around in a circle and Severus being so predictable picking truth and avoiding dare. Mason and JD seemed to both love the dares and the cuddles and kisses that came from the dares.

It was after one kiss from JD that was planted on Mason that JD spun on Severus and grinned.
'Truth or Dare'
Severus groaned knowing they would tease him again and call him chicken if he went with truth again but he didn't like JD's dares but he didn't like watching Mason and JD constantly kiss each other either.
'Dare'

Severus liked the shocked look on his sisters face as she jumped in his lap and grinned 'No Way are you sure?'
'I dare you to kiss JD for 5 minutes' Mason called out a dare and JD giggled and nodded her head agreeing to the kiss. Before this the kisses had been little pecks at most, they weren't old enough to know that a tongue could even be used in a kiss. 5 minutes sounded like an eternity for a kiss to Severus.
Severus shrugged and wrapped his arms around his sister's waist, shut his eyes and puckered his lips ready to hold them in place for the time limit as JD moved closer to him.
Her thin arms wrapped around his neck and her soft lips brushing across his, first in a small little peck then turning her head her mouth became more insistent of her brother.
With his eyes still shut Severus was left with just the sensation of his sister sitting his arms and lap, and the touch of his sister's kisses. Quickly forgetting of the game or that Mason sat there watching, Severus wrapped his arm tighter around his sister. Her kisses were beyond their normal light little pucker of their childhood play they made him wish she wasn't his sister.
JD wanted to squeal with delight when she felt Severus tighten his grip on her as her lips continually brushed over his. At first his response had been almost cold but now his kisses were responding to hers and it made her heart flutter. She couldn't believe this was working, that Severus was actually responding to her like this.

It was over too fast when Mason called time. At first JD wasn't sure Severus was going to stop and she didn't want to break the kiss but when her brother pulled back she stayed in Severus's lap and turned to Mason grinning.

'Truth or Dare' Severus said as his arm wrapped around possessively around JD's waist keeping her on his lap.

'Truth' Mason's normal response had always been dare but they seem to be treading new ground this summer. Mason hoped he would be asked if he liked watching for he did. It had made him feel dirty and excited to watch them kiss like that, he wanted to watch them do it again.

'Did you teach JD how to kiss like that?' Severus's question made JD gasp as his arms felt all of a sudden stifling as he held her to him, in his normal protective manner.
She turned to look at Severus 'Why ask that?'
Her heart pounding for she knew the answer, she knew she had asked the older boy to help her, she had for years elicited Mason's help in getting Severus to kiss her. Her brother was protective of her but she had the biggest crush on her own brother even though she knew she shouldn't. Mason wished he could have gotten JD to look at him like she looked at her brother but he was willing to take whatever crumbs she would toss his way.

'Have fun with your muggle boy friend, I am telling Dad on you.' Severus stood up and pushed JD from his lap angrily storming off when no answer was given quick enough for his liking.
His words hanging in the air slashing at JD's heart knowing that she liked Severus more then a sister should and he would never feel more then a brother to her.
The words also hit Mason making sure he knew he would never have a real chance with JD, that a muggleborn was never good enough for a pure blood.
