This is a fic on a little Lloyd with Kratos. It's in Lloyd's POV.

Disclaimer: I do not own Tales of Symphonia or any of the characters in it (Namco does).

"Daddy?" I raised my arms out towards the tall man standing in front of me. He smiles, and lifts me up onto his back. I laugh and squeal, and cling onto his hair to keep from falling off.

"Hey, stop that," Daddy says, swatting my small hand lightly. I let go, and as he hoists me higher onto his shoulder, I laugh and clap.

"I'm hungry, Daddy," I squeak, still clapping my hands joyfully. I hear laughter.

"All right, Lloyd. Let's go get Mommy and go to dinner." Daddy lifts me off his shoulders, and instead grabs my hands and leads me into a house. As soon as Daddy closed the door, he let go of my hand and I run to Mommy, who was lying on a bed. I hug her hand.

"Hello, Lloyd," Mommy says, before turning to the man standing behind me. "So, how did the walk go?"

"It was fun," Daddy states, and as my parents talk, I explore the house. I find the long metal stick Daddy usually carries and bring it to him.

"What is this, Daddy?" Mommy and Daddy stop talking as soon as they see me holding it. Daddy quickly snatches it.

"Lloyd, don't touch that!" Mommy looks afraid, Daddy a little angry, but mostly worried. I look down.

"I'm sowwy..." Mommy and Daddy sigh.

"It's alright, son. Just don't touch it again, okay?" Daddy pats my head lightly. "It's dangerous." I nod and hop onto the bed Mommy's sitting in.

"Don't leave that sword lying around, Kratos!" I heard Mommy's voice full of worry.

"I know. I forgot to put it away..." Daddy sighs. "Well, shall we get to dinner? Our Lloyd's hungry." Mommy nods, and we go out of the house.

The food was good. I licked my fingers, making Mommy and Daddy laugh. Mommy hands me a napkin, and I wipe my hands. After we ate, Mommy heads back to the house, but Daddy brings me outside to a field, where we sit and look at the sky.

"The stars are pretty, Daddy!" I snuggle closer into Daddy's coat. He smiles.

"Yeah, they are..." Daddy pauses. "People say you can't count the stars all your life, and you still won't be able to count them all." I pout.

"That's not fair!" Daddy smiles.

"Well, I think that's not true." I smile, bouncing up and down. "You can count them all if you live forever."

"I want to live forever!" I shout. Daddy looks at me strangely.

"You do?" I think for a moment.

"Well, if you and Mommy will live forever with me!" Daddy laughs, then hugs me. I hug him back, even though my arms can't reach all the way around Daddy's stomach.

"That's nice," Daddy says, then starts to point out star constellations. I listen, but I am more interested in looking at the shiny stars then the patterns. We sit there for an hour, looking at the stars, but then I start to feel sleepy. I wrap myself in Daddy's coat, and start to fall asleep.

Before I did, I heard Daddy say, "Sleep well, son." This is a night I will never forget...ever.

Yeah, I just removed the A/N. Thank you to Eike for pointing that out! I put it in there as an attempt to avoid awkward comments/questions, but I guess I got one anyway --.
