This was a day of death.
Pearl ran around the battlefield, scared and wounded. She had got a sword in her arm and she would poof if she got hurt again, she felt it, and she didn't know if she would survive, someone could easily crack her gem while she regenerated.
She heard the screams, felt the smell of blood and dust. Dead humans bodies everywhere, and dust from the cracked gems made the place sparkle. She hated it, she had lost many friends today, and many innocent humans were slaughtered, even before the battle.
She turned around and saw a red gem running beside her, she threw her spear at her without even thinking, and next second, the gem released her physical form and Pearl crushed the gem with her bare hands.
One more enemy gone...
One step closer to wining.
She continued to run and took out one more of the Homeworld gems, she hated it but she had to. She had to make Rose wish reality. She did it for her. As she ran she saw Agate, one of the Crystal Gems. She saw her fight two gems and was horrified as she watched her getting stabbed, and her gem got crushed. She would never forget her, one of her friends was dead.
She ran around and saw Garnet taking down a gem, and she fell a tear. Please give the two new lovers mercy during this battle. She saw a gem take down a few humans. Heads and limbs flew and blood colored the grass red. The gem looked strong and the her advantage she saw Onyx running the same direction as her. She saw that she summoned her daggers and threw them at the gem and Pearl threw her spear at her. She nodded to Onyx that broke the gem and they ran in separate directions. Time flew by, she broke many gems and saw many get broken, and human blood covered all of the ground, it was sparkling red as long as the eye could see, no exception.
As the battle got more intense, she got more and more scared. She didn't want to do this, but she had to.
Do it for her. Do it for Rose.
She bit her lips and stabbed another gem, but she didn't see it as a victory because that gem had just killed Onyx the same Onyx that helped her out a while ago, the black dust from her gem flew around and Pearl wanted to cry. Onyx had been one of her best friends, and what would Emerald say when she found out that her lover was dead?
There is no such thing as a good war, she knew that, but she still felt terrible about it. She just wanted to help Rose, help Earth. She didn't want to kill gems and watch as her friends and countless of humans were slaughtered, but she had to. Everything for Rose.
Rose was everything and she had to follow all of her orders, her heart told her that.
It was hard to run, there were to many bodies laying around, she didn't want to crush them, but she had to if she wanted to have a chance to fight.
She saw Topaz, she was surrounded by twelve gems and Pearl immediately ran to help her. She stabbed a gem and saw Topaz shouting one with her bow.
"Emerald is broken! You have to tell Onyx!", she shouted and Pearl bit her lip again. They where together.
She fought the gems and when it only was five left, she got horrified. She saw Rose, fighting a big orange gem. She needed help, but if she left Topaz, she would die. Topaz was a nice friend of hers, but Rose was more important. Without saying a thing, she ran away and only a few seconds later, she heard her scream.
"PEARL!". She saw how she got stabbed and how her gem got crushed. It was her fault, if she had stayed, she would still be alive.
I'm sorry...
She ran the fast as she could to Rose. She knew that she was going to die, but she didn't care. She was going to do it for Rose, not matter what. Rose was to important. She jumped in between the gems and felt pain in her chest. She was going to release her physical form any second, and the gem would crush her gem. She would die, but she was happy. She was nothing.
She did it for Rose...
