Phoebe20: Generations
"Pipa! Come in. Hi Marie! Why don't you go play with your cousins? They are all out back," said Prue. "Sit down, Pipa. Coffee?"
"Sure," said Pipa taking a seat at the table.
Prue tilted her head and the coffee and all the accessories flew to the table.
"Oh, it's cold. Let me heat it for you," said an embarrassed Prue as Pipa's coffee began to steam.
"You are good!" complemented Pipa. "My psychic link between Marie and me is all I have. Hal gets annoyed if we don't speak to each other occasionally. She's very talented for seven."
"Mom called Patty yesterday. They'll be heading home from Italy tomorrow. She and the twins are having a marvelous time. I envy her to be that active at her age," sighed Prue.
"Oh you will be. Nothing has stopped any of the Freeby triplets yet. Not mortal, not demon. And that is why I came over this morning. I have some news I wanted to tell you in person!" said Pipa wit juts a hint of excitement in her voice.
"Nothing wrong I hope?" said Prue concerned.
Pipa took a big spill of coffee. "It all depends upon your perspective. I was picking up the house on Tuesday after your visit. Pam had left one of her dolls. I picked it up and had a startling premonition. I saw Pam, Melanie and Matthew battling a warlock. They must have been in their thirties. That leads to only one conclusion. They are going to be the next Charmed Ones! I tried to pull up a vision of Patty's kids doing the same, but I couldn't. I tried off and one for two days. I just saw them in very mortal family situations. They used their powers, but only in private. It looks like you get the pleasure of training the next set. I'll do everything I can to help. Sorry, sis." Pipa said patting her arm.
"Wow! You know somehow I always knew it. Not that I'm getting premonitions. I was always the most gifted. Not that that meant anything, but my kids would then be the best qualified. They always have the basic three charmed powers," said Prue musing.
"Patty's kids, Frank and Jess never were really that interested in the craft. You'll just have to nurture your kids. Look you're even living in the Manor. Penny Halliwell, Patty Halliwell, Phoebe Halliwell, Prue Freeby and now Pam. That's quite a lineage. But I know you're up to it, Prue," said Pipa.
"They are a handful. But they are good kids," said Prue smiling.
"At least you're a bigger witch than they are. Remember Mom didn't have any powers when we were small. We were little terrors ourselves," remembered Pipa.
"Speak for yourself. Besides, I don't remember that. How do you?" asked Prue.
"Because I remember what Mom remembers. More in fact. She is getting a little forgetful. So how is your practice coming on, Doc Prue?" asked Pipa.
"The recovery center is doing fine, but I'm only the administrator now. Raising three witches is a fulltime job in itself. The only patients I still see are really disturbed witches. I can't refer them to anyone else. Ever think of counseling? You've been through so much and look how together you are! You would be great as a non-professional counselor. All some need is a sympathetic ear," said Prue.
"Tempting, but who would run Halliwell? I won't bore you with figures, but we had a very good quarter. Hey, I have got to run. Saturdays are awfully busy, too. Thanks for the coffee. Marie. Come in please. We have to be going!" cried out Pipa.
"Thanks for the news. I think? The Charmed Ones, the third generation! My, my. Well, give Hal my love. Take care, Pipa," said Prue.
"Same here. Marie, I'm heading to the car now! Bye, dear," said Pipa.
Prue just stood on the porch of Halliwell Manor sighing and wondering what lay ahead for her children and the future of the Charmed Ones.
To be continued.
