Chapter 1
'Rikku! Rikku wait!" Gippal yelled running after her "NO!" She cried turning to face him " I'm tired of waiting! Why should I? Why should I wait for you! Or any of Spira! They'll always hate us! Just because we're Al Bhed's! They'll never learn…and neither will you." Rikku turned to leave again "Wait!" He yelled out frantically. She turned…"I…" He started, "I…" he couldn't say it. He looked at her with eyes so sad and longing. She sighed as a small tear ran down her face "You see…you…Gippal you could never love me enough to say it."
She ran off into the darkness leaving Gippal standing there alone…The scene cracked and fell apart.
Gippal awoke in his bed, sweat beads dripping down his chest. He looked around the room, which was completely bare except for a small chair on the right side.
He'd had that dream for the past week straight. Every night since it had happened…He recalled the exact moment he'd found out.
Gippal was walking around aimlessly at the Al bhed hideout looking at some paper work dully. None of it seemed to matter to him, all he'd thought about all day was Rikku, last night when she had ran off, he had wanted to say it…to say 'I love you'. But he couldn't, why? Why didn't he say it?
He searched the rest of the night for her, trying to find her and tell her what he wanted to say, but she was gone… Surely she would turn up eventually? Wouldn't she? I mean they were in the midst of a war against Spira, the Al bhed's had to stick together, didn't they?
Turning at the sound of doors opening he saw to his surprise, Brother! " Vien ai Rikku?! Ai jhu yemaq?" Gippal asked frantically (( Where is Rikku? Is she here?)). Brother sighed and let his head hang down "Oumi" ((No)) Brother replied sadly.
Gippal stared at him, mouth wide as Brother explained the situation. "Luca?! Rikku went to Luca? But why? She could have been killed!" Gippal exclaimed. Brother looked down quickly, his eyebrows scrunched up & fighting back tears of sadness. "No…No. She's not dead! Brother! She can't be! There's got to be an explanation!" He yelled out more to himself than to Brother.
Cid's girl was…dead?…No…
But it had already been a week and they still hadn't found her. She had completely disappeared. Gippal had tried every bargaining strategy he could just for information as to her whereabouts…but still nothing.
He was losing hope…where could she be?…He blamed himself…If only he'd said it…then she'd still be here with him… But she was gone.lost.somewhere…maybe even….gone forever.
No…He thought. He knew she must be out there somewhere…but where?
Right then he heard someone rush into the house and zoom over to his door. He looked up as the door flew open… "Gippal, Eiou gitsu yogietsa haterhab Rikku!" Said Brother hopping up and down. (( Gippal I have information about Rikku!))
"WHAT IS IT!" Gippal yelled, as his mind raced. Here it was…right in front of him. Where he'd find Rikku. He knew it
