In the quiet dark night Greece was laying on the grass viewing the stars. He remembered that someone once told him that when a star fell, someone has died. The stars tonight however were still, not moving at all.
"Is God being kind tonight?" Greece wondered.
But there were several of other things Greece wondered about. Is death really something bad? What does happen when we have died? Are we gone forever?
Death is not the end
We gifts of life who God send
Disappear can we never
We are meant to stay forever
Those who have raised or fell
Why end up in either heaven or hell?
We are meant to be on earth
Let our souls find a body for rebirth
Will we still remain the same?
Still bear our fears, happiness and shame?
Our lives become brand new
Uncertain what we will do
Embrace the life you have now
Your path will be found somehow
Be free with no plan
Live while you can
There were times Greece hated death. When you die, the people who loved you feel a lot of pain because you have drifted away from them. Greece sure knew how that felt since he has lost his mother, Ancient Greece. He loved his mother so much; he remembered it took him years to finally feel some of the pain becoming relieved. The pain of losing her was not gone, it would never disappear.
"Are you there mother?" Greece said to the sky.
"I miss you very much, I wish you could be with me right now" Greece got deeply into his thoughts.
"I have taken good care of the history, ruins and all the other things that were yours mother, and I swear to you that they will never die out"
He sat up, really getting into this one-side conversation.
"I sleep so often because I hope you will appear often in my dreams and I also hope you will one day visit me from heaven" Greece said to the sky.
The loved ones will one day drift away
Heartbreak, feeling completely gray
Never know when the pain will fade
Only wish they could have stayed
The love will never disappear
Somehow they are still there
A life very pure or a life with many sins
You will one day die as another begins
Greece lied back down. He hoped that his mother listened to him even though he couldn't see her or know if she was really there. But if he died, would he then see and be with his mother again? He wasn't sure if people ended up in heaven or they ended up being reincarnated. Greece always had thoughts that if he died and were to be reincarnated; he would then hope to be reincarnated as a cat. It would have been so wonderful to sleep all day, look so cute, being petted, be free to do as you please and so on. Oh, cats…
"Who are you talking to Greece-san?" Japan suddenly appeared and stood above him.
Greece's head turned sideways slowly and looked at Japan with his usually drowsy eyes.
"My mother" Greece said.
Japan sat down next to the lying Greek.
"Is your mother here?" Japan asked.
Greece looked up to the sky.
"My mother is always here with me, she is my angel in heaven"
Japan understood what he meant as he saw Greece look up at the sky.
"Oh, she is…gomenasai" Japan said.
"Don't be, death is a natural part of life" Greece looked down on the ground "Even though it hurts"
Japan put his hand on Greece's shoulder.
"Yes is does, but being loved till death separates the loved ones apart must have lived fulfilled lives"
"You think so?"
"I really do, love is a great power"
Greece hugged Japan. Japan stifled a bit at the sudden intimate contact, but soon relaxed and hugged Greece back. They hugged each other for a little moment and slowly pulled away from each other. They both lay down on the grass and gazed at the stars together. After a while, Greece said something Japan found randomly:
"Japan, if I die and get reincarnated as cat, do you think I would be a cute one?"
Japan smiled and answered:
"You would be the cutest cat"
