Scars
Everything falling apart
Squid drove up from sleep, he was shaking and felt tears running down his cheeks. He quickly wiped them away and looked around terrified. A sigh of relief shared his lips as he realized he was alone. Just a nightmare, it flashed through his head and his tremors subsided a little as he realized that he was safe. For the moment.A heartbeat later a loud crash sounded from below, as if a bottle shatter on the ground, then sighed and sat up, he swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stood out of reflex, he put his hand under his pillow and when he felt his toothpick, he put it in his the little thing he went he groped his way through the darkness to the door, which creaked open. Outside in the hallway, it was also pitch dark, and after he had turned on the light, which first flared powerful, he saw the hall of the upper floor with the bare walls. The stairs creaked under his feet as he went down and into the kitchen. John, his father, pressed his mother Audrey against the wall and punched her in the face. Tears were streaming down her sunken cheeks.
Squid balled his hands into fists as anger rising in him. You can beat me, but not my mother, he thought, rushed into the kitchen and pulled out a bread knife from the kitchen drawer. "Let her go," he shouted. John turned to look at him, he looked at his son with a mixture of amazement and hatred. "Shut up."
"Let her go!" Repeated Squid and lifted his laughed. "Fuck off." He said, and blew smoke into Squids coughed as he inhaled the smoke, the next moment he tasted blood in his mouth, as John rammed his knee into his he knew it, he was on the ground and blows rained down on him, the knife was out of reach.
On next hit, it cracked, as a fist and nose became acquainted with each other. Squids look blurred and he tried to push John away from him.
"When will you finally understand that no one wants you?" his father asked. Another blow struck Squids face, this time with such force that his head hit the ground and he briefly lost consciousness.
When he blinked again, he realized blurred his mother, who stood silently behind John, who struck him on. Squid suppressed his tears.
Why are you doing this to me? He wanted to ask, but John struck again and blood spurted into his mouth as his teeth chattered.
With a scream Squid jerked his head, tears swimming in his brown eyes. His father grabbed him by the neck and he gasped as he squeezed. Blood ran in his throat and he coughed, causing some red drops landed in John's face. Anger burning in his eyes, and he took a last drag on the cigarette before he roughly turned his son's head to the side and put it on his neck sideways. Squid screamed and tried to escape. As a final blow hit him and hit his head on the ground, everything went black around him.
Squid regained consciousness and moaned in pain. "Damn." He murmured, blinking hard.
When the dizziness disappeared, he looked into the face of a girl. She sat beside him on the bed and wiped the blood and tears from his face.
He looked around, confused, and realized in horror that he was not home.
"Where the hell am I?" Squid tried to sit up, but he was seized by vertigo and clutched his head.
"Get some sleep, Squid." the girl said softly.
"Fuck you and take me home, I'll do nothing! And how the hell do you know my name!?"
"Thats not important, everything will be well. Sleep now."
He sighed softly and looked up at her. "Who are you?"
"Maya. And now one will hurt you as long as I'm there. Promise."
