It was a stormy morning in the dark and nasty regions, where nobody goes and inside ancient castle a small group of creatures were trying to find something to do.
"Dad we're bored." a ten year old violet creature that resembled a blob with arms and feet compalined her young seven year old brother Kane a lawn geen coloured version of her self with black glasses standing next to her.
Berk an adult dark blue version of the two sighed.
"I can tell Violet." he said.
"There's nothing to do." Kane complained.
"Well why don't you help your mum and me clean out one of the junk rooms?" Berk sugested.
"Ain't got anything better to do." Kane muttered and followed their dad to a dusty old room.
After a few minutes the four got to work.
Kane coughed moving a heavy box and looked inside.
He picked up a book and flicked though it.
"Hey dad is this you?" he asked seeing an old photo of a small child holding a rolling pin in its hands.
Berk walked over and smiled.
"Yeah that's me as a nipper allright."
"Aww you look cute." Violet said.
Starlight a scarlet coloured version of Violet walked over and smiled.
"So young, so full of life." she said.
Berk smiled.
Kane flicked through the book and stoped seeing a picture of Berk and his adoptive parents Luna and Skyshadow.
Berk smiled warmly.
"Good times." he muttered and went off.
Kane put the book down and continued to rummage through the box.
Starlight was busy helping Berk take some empty boxes outside the room and came across an old torn green and red cloth.
When she asked Berk about it he had a dark look on his face and ignored her.
"Let's just say it's part of my past that I'd raver forget." he said eventually.
"Hey Kane I found our old baby toys." Violet called.
Kane walked over and smiled.
"I forgot all about these."
After a few minutes Kane left the room as the dust was getting too much for him.
Berk smiled giving Kane some water.
"Dad can I ask you something?" Kane asked.
Berk sighed, he knew what Kane was going to ask.
"Violet dosen't know right?" Kane asked.
Berk shook his head.
"Dad you need to tell her." Kane whispered.
"Tell me what." Violet asked stepping outside with Starlight.
"Come with me." Berk said gently and took Violet upstairs.
"How do you think she'll react?" Kane asked.
Starlight sighed.
"If she's anything like Berk she'll be ok." she replied unsure.
