9:00 am
It was yet another day at Daft Life, and the duo were working on their sampler. "Should we do a vocoder part?" asked Guy-Man. "Maybe it'll add a flavor to the track."
"Seems good to me," responded Thomas. He shrugged. After all, Around the World was a success due to its' vocoder. "Never hurts to try."
Guy-Man started to write some lyrics. They would fit perfectly with the technological feel of the song. It was great.
9:08 am
Thomas fired up the machine- the backing track would now be made.
He let the machine boot up for a minute.
9:09 am
The machine was ready.
But it was much too hot.
The machine began to slowly expand- and it exploded. Guy-Man and Thomas's bodies flung away from the machine. The 9999 bug was in action. Sparks began to fly, and hit their bodies in midair. They were done for.
One Day Later
Thomas woke up to see himself in the hospital. A nurse was at his side, giving him a strange look. He couldn't help but wonder why. Had he gotten a surgery?
Thomas looked upon his hands- they were silver and metallic. He attempted to pull them off- maybe they were gloves? No luck.
"May I please have a mirror?" he asked the nurse. She returned with one shortly.
Thomas held the mirror to his face. No- there was no face. Only a metal-like head- a robot head. It had a red visor and silvery glowing skin. He couldn't move his mouth- the robot head had a blank expression.
To his side he saw Guy-Man with a similar head and gloves. His color was gold. He had a helmet similar to an astronaut. Had he chosen to become this way? Could they make music this way?
They'd have to bring music back to life-
give life back to music.
