Little girls, don't know how to be sweet girls

Momma didn't teach me.

Little boys, don't know how to treat little girls,

Daddy didn't show me. – Love Save the Empty, Erin McCarley

Bianchi loved her brother, she really did. And it worried her that he was so sick all the time.

It was like every time she saw him, he'd get so ill. And she knows their childhood wasn't the best and how unhappy he was (is) and she can't really help at all.

Because Bianchi was taught a lot of things. She was taught the finer points of investment and how to kill a man with her bare hands, what utensils to use during fancy dinners and where to hide the body. She was taught things that involved class and dignity, as was fit for a mafia don's daughter. She was taught to treat those of her station with respect and those below her as if they were garbage.

Bianchi was never taught how to treat her brother, who had the gift of both worlds.

But she loves her brother, she really does. It upsets her to see him to hurt all the time. She's read books, seen movies. She can copy them, right? After all, it was supposed to be the thought that counted.

Still, though, Bianchi's heart breaks a little more every time she sees her brother.

So she puts the pieces in the food she makes for him and hopes for the best.

Gokudera loved his sister, he really did. And he had no idea how to act around her.

Because even for all the pained stomachs and ruined dinners, he cares for his sister. She was one of the few people who had ever been a constant in his life and that had to count for something. He absolutely loathed her culinary skills, but no one had ever tried to cook for him before either. Just seeing her face made him more likely to end up in the hospital than anything else, but she was also one of the first to visit him when he was there.

And, well...

Gokudera taught himself a lot of things. (Because running away meant there wasn't anyone there to guide him along like other people had the privilege of.) He taught himself to make his own dynamite and how much to be used to blow down a building the size of a mansion without destroying the surrounding area, who not to piss off at certain times and what areas to avoid. He taught himself advanced mathematics and how to fight three people at once, what the weak points were of enemy mafia families and how to blend into a crowd really quickly. Those were all things he had experience with.

Gokudera never had any experience with treating an older sister, or anyone for that matter, with proper affection.

The tenth was different. He deserved absolute worship and nothing less than a church in his glory.

But that wasn't how you treated a sister.

It didn't help matters at all that he wants to color the sidewalk whenever he saw her face either. So he was awkward and ill and not at all understanding on what to do with no one there to help.

Gokudera sometimes wonders if writing a letter would at all be appropriate.

Did this in ten minutes.

Concerning matters involving If You've Heard This One Before, don't expect an update for a while. I haven't stopped writing, it's just...inspiration is gone at the moment. It comes and goes and I'm really into Hetalia right now so...I'm sorry. I'll be back on track soon.

Merry Christmas.
