Author's Note:I didn't make it for my intended deadline so I may upload Wading later but I'll try to keep everything else on track.
Crimson colored eyes,slowly blinked once and then twice as the owner of those eyes,stood there rigidly as they stared emotionless at the corpses that lied at his feet. His crimson eyes slowly lifted up as his keen sense of hearing easily picked up on the sound of what could be soft crying. With one swift motion,He effortlessly flicked the blood off of the sword,before allowing it to fall at his side. Lifting his leg up,He easily stepped over the bodies,not even bothering to miss the large puddle of blood that had slowly began to form before making his way towards the sound.
Stepping in front of what looked to be a closet,Reaching forward He grasped ahold of the closet door and pulled it to the left ever so slowly. The door let off a soft thud as it reached its end. Those devil like eyes slowly looked down to see two small children,A girl and a boy,huddled close together,their small arms wrapped around each other.
"Look at me." He spoke calmly
The children didn't budge
"I said look at me." He spoke as the tone of his voice changed
That slight change in his voice made the little girl poke her head up from her brother's arm when she suddenly frozen in fear. Raising his hand out towards the the girl,The little boy lifted his hand and drew the girl closer,shielding her eyes from him before glaring at the man.
Love is a the strong survive
Crimson eyes almost dimmed slightly as those words echoed dangerously in the back of his head. Slowly raising the katana up,The man held it towards the two children.
"Only the strong survive." He muttered as he raised the katana up higher and in one swift motion,He swung down hard not noticing the flash of pink quickly entering into the room. The clanking of metal could be heard throughout the deathly silent house.
Those Crimson eyes never narrowed as he watched the woman before him blocking stared at him with such fire in her with her right knee pressed firmly against the wooden floor,Sakura held tightly onto the kunai knife with both hands as she tried her best to shield the children
"Itachi,What are you doing?" She cried out
Crimson eyes slightly widened momentarily before they dimmed more pressure to the kunai knife and shifting her weight forward,She pushed Itachi back, causing him to take a couple of steps backwards.
"Run now!" She barked as she adjusted the kunai knife in her hands before rushing towards Itachi. The children couldn't help but to stare at Sakura before they scrambled to their feet and scrambled towards the only exit. His crimson eyes suddenly shifted towards the children as he easily retrieved a kunai knife from his pouch.
Easily gathering chakra into her right hand,She swung at him"Keep your eyes on me Itachi."
Lunging forward with her fist pulled back. She watched as he took a step back and effortlessly threw the kunai knife towards the children,just allowing Sakura to barely catch the corner of his wrist.
A loud cry could be heard as Sakura's head whipped towards the children,Her eyes widened as she found the small girl clutching at the back of her leg. Even she couldn't help but to breathe a sigh of relief as she found the kunai knife embedded deeply into the wall.
"Get out of here now!"
Turning her attention back to Itachi,She could see the small boy,wrap his arms around his sister before leading her out of the room as fast as he could. Watching as Itachi shifted his weight,He easily pulled the katana back up, with the intent of chasing after the children when he jumped back slightly as Sakura's fist came towards him again. Thrusting the katana at her,Sakura easily sidestepped it before grabbing the hilt of the sword and delivering a swift uppercut to his left hand,causing him to drop the sword and allowing her to kick it away from them, Only to have him reach out and try to grab a fist full of hair,Ducking under him Sakura's legs swept out as she tried knocking him down. Crimson eyes narrowed as he jumped back.
"Sakura,Where are you?"
Her line of sight shifted before she found herself pinned up against the wall with Itachi's right hand wrapped tightly around her neck and his left hand holding her left hand. Quickly gathering chakra into her right hand,She lurched forward violently as his knee found itself embedded deep into her stomach. Small splatters of blood fell to their feet as she slowly raised her head back.
"Itac-
His knee connected again to her ribs,causing more blood to splatter at their feet.
Retracting her chakra,She clamped her hand over his hand that was holding onto her throat and began digging her nails into his skin. Remaining completely unfazed by her antics, His crimson eyes stared at her as she began to desperately fight for air. Dropping his grip on her left hand,She watched as another Itachi,a clone,emerged out of the darkness and began to walk towards them. Watching as the clone stood behind him,Her eyes widened as the clone easily reached into Itachi's side pouch and handed him a kunai knife.
"Please don't."
His crimson eyes remained unfazed
"Itachi!"
Crimson eyes snapped opened as Itachi was violently torn from the nightmare. Pushing himself off of the bed, He slowly eased into a sitting position. Feeling his heart beat wildly in his eardrums,sweat slowly began to trail from his forehead down to the side of his face.
"Breathe." He muttered to himself
Inhaling deeply through his nose,He released a shaky breath. Repeating this several times,He found his heartbeat slowly finding its way back into it's normal rhythm. Looking upwards,Itachi's head turned slightly.
Dressed in nothing but one of her over-sized t-shirts stood Sakura,who was just standing in between the threshold of their bedroom.
Just as she opened her mouth,She watched as Itachi effortlessly threw the covers off of him and easily swung his legs across the edge of the bed before standing up. The coolness of the wooden floor didn't seem to bother him a bit as he silently made his way to the adjoining bathroom. Listening as he closed the door with a soft click, Leaning against the frame of the door she listened as the bathtub faucet began running before switching over to the shower head.
Biting down softly on her bottom lip,She turned to look at the analog clock.

They had about 6 hours or so before it was time for them to get ready for their upcoming mission
Walking into the room,She found herself walking over to the bathroom door, contemplating whether she should go in or not but instead she just listened as the shower ran. Sighing rather softly to herself,She turned and walked over to the edge of their bed before sitting down. Several minutes had seemingly passed before the shower could be hear turning off. Easily sliding further back onto the bed,She easily slipped under the covers and continued to watch the bathroom door before it slowly opened with Itachi emerging with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist.
Her emerald eyes locked onto his onyx eyes before she slowly reached under the covers and grabbing at the hem of the shirt before easily pulling it off. Her eyes never left him as she pulled the shirt off from under the covers and dropping the shirt unceremoniously on the ground.
Beckoning him to her,with her index finger,Itachi easily discarded the towel and made his way over to her. Crawling into the bed and under the covers. He hovered above her staring deeply into her eyes.
Lifting her arms,She easily wrapped them around his neck before pulling him closer to where they were now chest to chest.
"I love you Itachi."
"Hm" Was his only reply before he leaned closer to her until their lips were pressed closely together,Normally dominance would play a role when they were like this but Sakura could feel it.
Something was different.
Feeling his tongue pressing at her lips,She easily submitted as her legs snaked themselves around around Itachi's waist.
A soft moan escaped through her mouth as his lips trailed from her lips to the right side of her neck. Moving her hands down,She dug her nails into Itachi's back as another moan escaped through her back slowly began to arch just as he effortlessly entered into her.
"Itachi" She cooed as she held onto him. She could feel his hands traveling up the side of her body before he made it up to her face. Slowly opening up her eyes,Emerald eyes found themselves staring into those dark eyes, that she loved so much.
Morning slowly crept upon the two of them causing the pink haired kunochi to stir from her sleep. Slowly sitting up on the bed,She raised her arms,stretching out the sore muscles in her body,Looking over to her right,the corners of her lips tilted downwards as Itachi's side of the bed was empty. She had learned early in their relationship not to question the battle going on inside of Itachi's knew that when Itachi he wanted to talk,He would do just that. Throwing the covers off of her body,She easily retrieved the discarded shirt and slipped it on just as Itachi walked into the room.
Dressed in black pants and a black shortsleeved shirt,stood Itachi in the doorway.
"Is it time to go already?" She asked looking over to the clock which read six.
Itachi simply shook his head "Breakfast will be through once you get ready."
Nodding once,Sakura watched as Itachi turned and walked back out of the room. Standing up,She walked over the larger oak dresser,pulling the second from the bottom,She pulled out her undergarments out before disappearing into the bathroom. Emerging about ten minutes later,She made a beeline for their the clothes,She easily slipped on black biker shorts and a white t-shirt before walking out of the room.
Stepping off of the last step,Her sense of smell kicked into high gear as the smell of coffee and food filled her nose causing her stomach to grumble. Taking a few steps and turning left Sakura's eyes lit up as she found Itachi effortlessly flipping the last pancake. Just as she walked over to the table and sat down,Itachi was placing the stack of pancakes infront of her with a cup of coffee.
"Itadakimasu" Sakura cheesed as she picked up the fork and just as she was about to dig in,She looked at Itachi.
"Aren't you going to eat?"
"I have." He simply stated,Looking to the side of him Sakura could see him dishes already washed and put into the dish rack.
"Oh." Watching as he turned to walk out of the room,She stopped him "Whenever you want to talk about it Itachi,I'll be here."
He simply nodded before disappearing out of the corners of her mouth fell slightly as she ate in silence,Once she was through and her dishes had been washed,She headed back upstairs. As she walked into their bedroom,She could see their bed had been neatly made with a large black bag placed in the center of their bed under an empty sealing scroll.
"How long is this mission suppose to take again?" She asked watching as Itachi silently walked back and forth between the dresser with a few clothes.
"Just a couple of days."
"I can't believe we're missing the festival again." She complained "I swear we've missed it for the last two years."
Making her way over to their closet,She disappeared before re-emerging with a pair of black pants on and black t-shirt of her own with several scrolls in her arms.
Dropping the scrolls off on the side of the bag,She caught Itachi's gaze."Don't worry,I had Ten-Ten check them all out the other day,They're clean and razor sharp."
"Is it among them?"
She looked over at him confused before realizing what he was talking about. "No."
"Why?"
"I'm no good at throwing that thing Itachi,No matter how many times I try,I'm either completely missing my target or those damn wires keep getting tangled." She frowned
"This will be good practice then." He spoke as he placed the clothes in the bag as neatly and as compactly as he could.
"Itachi." She whined knowing full well she had lost this in defeat,Her shoulders sank as she trudged out of the bedroom and to one of the guest room only to return with the very large shruriken on her shoulder.
Careful not to damage their floor,She reached into her back pocket for an empty scroll when Itachi easily retrieved one and laid in on the floor.
Saying a quick thank you,She easily sealed the large weapon away before rolling the scroll the pouch on both her left hip and on her back right. She looked up,watching as Itachi continued to pack their bag before retrieving their dividing the weapon scrolls,She packed her into her pouch as Itachi finished and easily zipped the bag up before sealing it away and tucking it in her pouch. Watching as he mentally checked to make sure that they had everything they needed,She walked over to the side of the dresser to retrieve his katana, only to have him reach out for it. Eyeing him for a moment,She reluctantly handed it over and watched as he securely strapped it to his back.
"Ready?" He asks looking at her
She nods once as he ushers her out of the room,flicking the light off behind him. As they walked down the stairs,He watched closely as she slid into the kitchen. Stopping in the threshold,He watched as she walked over to the pantry door and opened it and reached inside before retrieving the cookie jar.
"We don't need much do we?"She ask glancing back at him
"No."
"Are you sure,what if Shisui tries to pull that stunt again?"
Itachi paused for a moment,trying not to sigh "Bring a little more."
"Okay." Pulling out a few more bills,Sakura easily put the lid back onto the jar before placing it back on the shelf and closing the door,Walking back over it Itachi,She easily folded up the money and was about to place it in her back pocket when he stopped her.
"Where is your wallet?"
She shrugged "I'm not sure where I placed it." She replied honestly,Holding his hand out,Sakura easily handed over the money and watched as Itachi pulled his wallet out and stuck the bills in there before handing it to her. Making their way to the front door,Itachi reached out to grab the door handle when she placed her hand on his,stopping him.
Onyx eyes stared into her eyes
"I love you Itachi."
"Hm" Leaning down to her height,He places a soft kiss upon her forehead before she removed her hand allowing him to open the her to go first,He closed the door with a soft click and locked up before they began to make their way to the village gates. As they traveled through the somewhat deserted streets of Konoha,only occupied by shopkeepers as they began to step up for the day,Sakura inhaled the cool air as she tried to suppress a small was trying to gather all of the peace that she could because she knew once they stepped across the village main gate,It wouldn't be nothing but serious with no room for relaxation even if it was just a C ranked mission.
Approaching the main gate,Sakura easily spotted Neji causally leaning again the gate post, with his eyes closed and arms crossed across his chest while Shisui stood a few feet in front of him staring at the pathway leading out of the village but turned when he felt their chakra signatures approaching.
"Took you two long enough." Shisui teased causing Neji to slowly open his eyes and let his line of sight fall onto them.
Completely ignoring Shisui,Sakura watched as Itachi sidestepped his cousin and made his way towards Neji,She couldn't quite understand what would make Itachi want to talk with Neji,It wasn't like the two were the worst of enemies but they couldn't even be considered friends. She watched as Neji nodded once before Itachi turned towards the two of them.
"Let's go."
It was nearing midnight when the four squad members had found themselves standing in the lobby of an inn,just a few miles off of the main Sakura was glad to be sleeping in a bed on this mission,She knew Itachi's had doubts about stopping but quickly realizing that he was in a squad and not doing this on his own,So he accepted.
Walking over to the front desk,Sakura was easily greeted by an elder man,who had a wide smile on his face.
"How can I help you young lady?" He ask
"I need two room,with double beds if you have any available."
" I do." He smiled back as he turned to retrieve two room keys before turning and handing over them over to her. "That'll be 30 ryo."
Sakura frowned "Why so cheap,If you don't mind me asking."
"It's an old down inn sweetheart and with the issues that I have here,I charge just enough to keep me and the missus stable. Sakura's lips fell into a thin line but before she could ask another question,She could see Neji approaching the counter out of the corner of her silently as he pulled his wallet out,He handed over way much than the man was asking for. The man stood there in shock before Sakura retrieved Itachi's wallet out of her back pocket and payed him the 30 ryo before bowing slightly
"Thank you."
"No thank you,The both of you." The man smiled before bowing as best as he could "May you receive a blessing from the Gods."
Sparing him one more smile,Sakura easily handed Neji the other key before heading up to the stairs with Shisui and Itachi behind them. Walking through the spacious hallway,Sakura easily found their room and unlocked the door before slipping inside.
"Shisui" She could hear Itachi speak as she sat on the edge of the bed and threw her right leg over her left,to unzip the no reply from Shisui,She watched as Itachi entered the room,unclasping the top button of his cloak
"Check on Hyuuga before you turn in for the night?" He spoke as he threw the cloak onto the dresser before turning around and leaving the room. Sighing softly to herself she easily undid her other boot before unclasping her other boot and placing them onside of the bed.A small yawn escaped through her lips as her barefoot padded against the wood as she exited out of the room and walked across the hallway and knocked on the door.
Hearing a gruff Come In, Sakura opened the door slowly to see Neji sitting on the edge of the bed,closest to the window, staring out of it.
"Is there something wrong?" Neji asked looking at her.
She simply shook her head "No,Im just here to check on you.
"On his behalf?"
"Yep,If I didn't know any better I would think that Itachi is looking after your well being." She teased as she walked over to him,stopping in front of him.
"I doubt that,He's just waiting."
Her eyebrows perked up slightly "Waiting on what."
Grabbing ahold of the bottom hem of his shirt with his right hand,He slid the shirt up to reveal the bottom half of his torso wrapped in what looked like fresh bandages.
"What happened?"
His white eyes met her emerald ones before Sakura finally understood.
"I'm pretty sure TenTen isn't too happy about this." She spoke placing her hand on his lower ribs.
He frowned "She's not"
Applying slight pressure to his ribs,She listened as he winced slightly before easily pulling her chakra forward.
"Seems that they're still a bit tender,How long have they been wrapped?"
"A few days."
"Any problems breathing?
"No"
"Good thing is that they haven't poked a lung or nothing vital but I'm not sure how wise it was to come on this mission."
"I'll be fine."
Have you given any thought about her proposal?" Sakura asked
"She's spoken to you about it?"
"Yeah-Sakura paused for a moment-She knew that I would have a better insight on it since you know." She shrugged
"Ah."
"Yeah but it's ultimately up to you Neji,You're the one to decide whether it's your loyalty to your clan or the one you love."
Slowly rising up to her,Sakura pulled her chakra back into her body. "But trust me I've seen that you can do both."
Both of their head turned as the door to the room opened to reveal Shisui.
"I'll see you guys in the morning." She smiled before easily scurrying out of the room and back into her room where she found Itachi nowhere in sight. Using this moment of aloneness,Sakura disappeared into the bathroom and took a quick shower before walking back into the room. Tugging slightly on the bottom of the shirt as a sudden chill fell onto the room just as Itachi materialized.
"Is everything okay?" She asks
Nodding once,Itachi easily pulled off his shirt before throwing it onto the second bed before slowing crossing the room and disappearing behind the bathroom door. Listening as the shower began running,Sakura easily snuggled under the covers as the sound of the water slowly lulled her off to sleep.
Emerald eyes snapped opened as an high pitched blood curling scream pulled her out of the lingering right elbow dug deep into the wooden floor as she slowly pulled herself into a sitting position. Slowly looking around the unfamiliar room,Sakura slowly eased off of the floor.
"Hello" She called out only to be answer with silence
She tried again "Hello"
"Please." A voice pleaded. A woman's voice
"Is someone here?" Sakura's emerald eyes fell onto the double shoji doors directly in front of her.
"Please don't."
Stepping forward,Sakura's bare feet padded softly against the wooden floor towards the woman's voice.
"W-We don't have much,Please take it." The woman pleaded
Stopping directly in front of the door,Sakura slowly placed her hand on the screen as her heart began to suddenly thump louder in her ears.
"No,No please don-" The sound of something heavy dropping onto the floor replaced the woman's words.
Pulling the shoji screen back,Sakura stilled as her eyes landed on the dead bodies scattered throughout the knew that she had seen her share of dead bodies in this line of work that she was in but this sight alone was enough to make her sick to her stomach. Looking up from the pile of bodies,Her emerald eyes widened as she immediately recognized the symbol on the perpetrator's back.

"Itachi"
He remained unfazed as if he had not heard her
"Itachi" She called out again,still gaining no response for him.
Taking a step forward towards him,She watched as he twisted his wrist,effortlessly flicking the blood off of his katana and letting it fall effortlessly to his side. She watched as he stood there,frozen as if he was a statute before a soft cry could be heard.

Feeling a sudden coldness come over the room,Sakura watched as Itachi slowly raised the katana up, and held it towards the children.
"Only the strong survive." He muttered as he raised the katana her head to the side,She couldn't bare to watch when the clanking of metal could be heard.
Slowly lifting her head,Her eyes narrowed as she found herself staring at herself as she shield the children.
"Itachi." She could hear herself saying "What are you doing?"

The air in the room suddenly shifted again when Sakura found her other self pinned up against the wall with Itachi's right hand wrapped tightly around her neck and his left hand holding her left hand.

Sakura's heart seem to drop into the pits of her stomach as she watched as he pulled his arm back before plunging the katana deep into Sakura's stomach before twisting his wrist,with the intent to fully damage her organs beyond repair.
Watching herself as her arm fell limply to her side,She could faintly hear herself whisper something but couldn't quite understand what she had said before Itachi slowly withdrew the katana from her now lifeless body before slowly turning towards her and in the blink of an eye,Itachi was standing in front of her.
His crimson eyes burning into her emerald ones
"Only the strong survive."
"Sakura"
Snapping back into reality,Sakura looked up to see Itachi staring at her "I'm sorry what did you say?"
"Pay attention,we're moving out now."
Nodding once,She watched as Itachi exited out of the inn with Neji behind him. Reaching up and scratching the back of her head.
"Sakura is there something wrong?" Her head turned to the side to see Shisui standing there with a worried look on his face.
She hesitated for a moment "I don't know?" She voiced truthfully "Honestly I'm worried about Itachi, Something doesn't see right?"
"What do you mean?"
"I think he's been having nightmares,Has he talked to you about anything bothering him?"
Sakura could see something change in Shisui's demeanor but he simply shook his head.
Her green eyes narrowed "Shisui,What aren't you telling me?"
He quickly plastered a smile on his face and shook his head "Nothing you should be worried about Sakura,It's probably nothing."
Before she could even ask him another question,Shisui was about halfway out of the through her nose,She followed behind him. Stepping out of the inn,Sakura raised her hand up to shield her eyes from the brightly shining sun.
"And his last position?" She could hear Itachi asking. She turned to see Itachi standing close to Neji with his arms crossed his chest.
"Looks like he's moving West."
"What's West of here?" Shisui asked joining the conversation
"Nothing that can be too good for him." Neji voiced truthfully
"We could send word to Suna and let them handle it."Shisui spoke
"No." Itachi spoke "He has information that can be valuable to Konoha."
"I agree."
"Never thought I'd see the day where you two would agree." Shisui teased
Neji frowned "Don't get use to it."
"Let's go then." Within a blink of an eye,The four disappeared into the trees.
It took them under five hours to actually locate their target due to Shisui's carelessness and her lack of paying attention to her surroundings earning them both a glare from Itachi.
"Can you find him?" Itachi asked glancing in Neji's direction who had already activated his byakugan.
"Don't push it Neji." Sakura spoke up only to have Itachi throw a glance in her direction before looking at Neji again.
"I can see several chakra signatures but I can't actually pinpoint which one is the real one."
"How many are there?"
Neji slowly looked to the left and then to the right. "Eight."
"Alright once you weed out the real one,take him down in a non-lethal way and regroup here."
The three nodded at Itachi before they all disappeared in different directions.
Watching the man's body as he slowly slumped over at the base of the badly broken tree,Sakura huffed through her nose as she flexed her fingers in the black gloves before slowly pulling herself into a upright position. This man was becoming only had she completely missed him with the large shuriken and almost gotten her head cut clean off. The damn wires had gotten tangled and cut her wrist pretty badly.
"Sakura can you hear me?" It was Neji
Touching the ear piece inside her ear,She sighed softly "Yes I can hear you."
"Shisui and I have located him and are in pursuit now."
"What about Itachi?"
"I haven't heard from him."
"That doesn't sound right?" She muttered "What do you want me to do?"
"Find Itachi and Shisui and I will handle him."
"Got it."
Releasing the earpiece,Sakura slowly began to look around the heavily wooded forest.
"Damn this would be a good time to have Ino's sensory skill." Sakura muttered to herself when she suddenly picked up on Itachi's chakra and rushed towards she arrived to the clearing,She stopped midstep as her emerald eyes locked on Itachi standing in the dead center of the clearing with his katana,drawn by his side.
"Itachi" She called out
Getting no answer,She leaped upwards before landing in front of rising up,Her emerald eyes widened as he stood there staring dead ahead with his sharingan activated.
"Itachi can you hear me?"
Getting no response from him,She waved her hand in face as he remained unfazed.
"Itachi" She tried again
Still no answer
"Don't be too mad at me" She muttered as she pulled the glove off of her right hand. A loud smack could be heard as Itachi head whipped to the right before slowly looking back at her,this time his onyx eyes looking back at her.
"What happened?"
"I don't know,I just found you staring off into space with your sharingan activated."
"Hm"
"What aren't you telling me Itachi."
He shook his head "Its nothing."
"It's not nothing when you're waking up in the dead of is bothering you and you won't tell me what it is."
"Because it's none of your concern." He spoke,his tone suddenly shifting.
"Because I'm not an Uchiha,Is that it?"
"Sakura"
"No say it Itachi,I understand that your proud of your clan and it's just some things that you can't just tell me.I understand that but I don't-She paused for a moment- Just forget it."
Turning to leave,He spoke up "I've been having the same nightmare for the last couple of months."
