"That was a nice warm up," Buffy chirped as the last minions dusted. "Don't get up. It'll make it easier for me to kill you."
Ignoring the order, the Big Bad leapt to his feet with a wordless snarl, brandishing a sword that had a glowing blade. Immediately, demon and slayer clashed, blades flashing at each other in a lethal dance. Inevitably, Buffy got the upper hand, stunning the Big Bad.
Buffy raised the Scythe to deliver the deathblow when her face changed from triumph to shock. She turned and fled.
