A snake slid across the road in front of the travelers. A young man with long silver hair ran out, following the snake. He was happy to find that his dead love wanted him. He had been interrupted the last several meetings, one of his companions stopping them before they really started.
The raven-haired teen behind him tried to hold back tears, sad that the hanyou wanted to see his dead love. She had been sure that she stopped them before they did anything other then talk and kiss. She felt sick to her stomach when she imagined what they might have done. She loved the idiot, and it was killing her to see him go out after the dead bitch.
The taijiya with her long weapon felt her fingers itching to use it on that stupid hanyou. Following his dead love hurt the girl that was alive. She could not figure out the charm of the dead bitch and found it immensely satisfying to hit that stupid hanyou when he returned.
After looking up from the ass of the young woman in front of him, the young monk sighed, annoyed that his dog eared companion felt the need to visit the dead miko, who was a nuisance at the best of times, which this definitely was not.
A small kitsune tumbled to the ground, having been on the taijiya's shoulder but gotten pushed off when she reached for her weapon unconsciously. Growling furiously at the empty space once inhabited by the hanyou, the kitsune ran over to his new mother, and said, "Don't cry Kagome, he's an idiot. Please don't cry."
His mother ignored him, and, hoisting her bag high on her shoulders, took off into the bushes.
In the trees nearby was another hanyou, tall with wavy black hair, sinister eyes and tentacles coming from his back. He thought to himself, 'good. The girl took her bag with her. I will have some at last!'
He followed the distraught girl, watching as she tripped over a tree root. Stopping in front of her, he waited for her to recognize him.
The girl looked up, then realized exactly who was following her. clutching the bag around her throat, she said, "Naraku! You'll never get the jewel shards!"
Almost groaning at her stupidity, he said, "Stupid wench, I'm not here for the shards, I just want the ramen."
She blinked slowly. "You. want. ramen?" She said, each word falling out as a disbelieving whisper.
He nodded, annoyed at how she was acting. That was all he had ever wanted. "Yes wench, I want ramen. That's what the whole thing is about, isn't it?"
"But. The. Jewel?"
He reached into a pocket, "I was saving them up to buy the ramen." He held out the almost complete jewel. "It's yours. I just want ramen."
She reached into her back pack, pulling out a few packets of ramen. "Trade you?" She asked shyly.
"Yep. I'll trade this for one packet, and I'll let the monk's curse disappear for the other." He said, grabbing the packets offered. Saluting her, he turned to meld into the darkness.
Waking up abruptly, Kagome sighed. 'it was all a dream. Phew.'
She grabbed her bag. Looking for some teabags, she noticed that they were missing some ramen.
Miroku woke up to Kagome checking his wind tunnel, which they then all realized was gone.
A/N was the dream real or wasn't it? did Naraku really give them the jewel in exchange for 1 packet of ramen? I should hope so, otherwise I'm going to have to write a second chapter.
