Author's note- This is my own, personal memoir to Sirius Black, who I really am beginning to believe isn't dead. Hope you like it! Please review and tell me what you think or if you feel the same. Thanks to Katherine for typing it up and beta-ing for me.

"The Letter"

Tursi slowly took out a scroll and some ink. She placed the quill to her mouth as she pondered what to write. Across her desk she heard a low hoot, she reached out her hand and rubbed down the feathers of her Barn Owl, Sammy, and soothed her anxiety to fly.

Her room was dimmly lit by the full moon and flickering flame of her candle. The rays of light danced across a picture in front of her, one of a man with dark, long hair and shabby clothing who smiled and waved whenever he caught her eye. She quickly totted down some words onto the parchment.

'Dear Padfoot,'

She quickly paused and dipped her quill into her ink well. She looked at her paper, trying to keep her thoughts collected.

'Hey, how's it going? I heard you finally got out of the house and streched your legs a bit. It must've felt great after being couped up in that house for so long.'

Tursi took a big breath of air and began to write again.

"There is one thing I want to know Sirius, and that is..."

"And that is what...?" she mumbled to herself as she looked around the room. "Ah, yes," Dipping the quill in ink again, she penned,

'What IS behind the veil? Hopefully this letter will eventually find you. If it does, Please respond A.S.A.P.'

Tursi smiled a ther next thought, holding back her tears.

'There are some people who would love to see you again, Sirius; Harry, Tionne and I for one. You were one of the greatest things to happen to us. For Harry it was like having a father and a brother all in one, For me, it was the fact of knowing someone could watch over me and understand me again, like my dad. And Tionne's marvelous reason is pretty much the same as mine, besides the fact that she's just cool.

I know that many believe that you are dead and never coming back, but we believe you are. Whether it be Padtoof, Snuffles, or Sirius, you are always alive in our hearts, dreams and memories.

-Your "other" Godaughter, Tursi M.'

Tursi noticed she'd been holding her breath as she finished the letter. Taking a shaky breath, she sealed it and tied it to Sammy's leg.

"Take this to Snuf- I mean Sirius. You can stop at our friends' houses," she said, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Sammy, please find him..." she said as she let the bird fly off into the night. In her mind's eye, she saw flashes of memories that she, Sirius, and her friends had had together. And as she fell into a deep sleep, she swore she heard barking in the distance. Barking that sounded as if it's canine owner was laughing, smiling. Those were her last thoughts before she entered the world of dreams.
