Hated. Laughed at. Outcasted

"Freak!": that is what he was called by his uncle and aunt. Harry thought that his parents died in a car crash for all of his life, but then… Hagrid came. All the information stroke Harry at once: he was a wizard, his parents were killed by an evil wizard whose name was apparently taboo to say, from him Harry got his scar that looked like a lightning bolt. Also, Harry defeated the guy as a mere baby! But what's more, he was to attend a school of witchcraft and wizardry called "Hogwarts". Harry slept with happy thoughts.

To his school Harry had to travel by a train, which was on platform 9¾. Weird, Harry did not know anything about that one, this looked like a prank by his uncle and aunt… Nah, they did not have a sense of humor. Suddenly, Harry heard words that weren't commonly used in the world he grew up in.

"But Mom! couldn't we just floo to the platform? Bill can just apparate!", said a tall, redhead boy with big hands and freckles all over his face.

"Ronald Bilius Weasley! You perfectly know that we can't apparate or floo here! The platform has anti-apparating wards and not a single chimney there!" Stormed a plump, short woman (also redhead).

Harry ran towards the family and asked:

"E...Excuse me… I don't know how to get to the platform..." he was interrupted.

"Oh! you're new to Hogwarts? Well, all you need to do is run through this barrier right over there, and you will get there" She said.

Harry gulped, but decided to believe her, since two of her children already did what she said before she started to explain.

He ran into the barrier, expecting a crash and loads of pain, but none of it came. Instead, he was on another platform full of people in weird dresses, cats, owls, and a huge scarlet steam train. He got onto it, found an empty compartment and sat down, thinking of his new school. Maybe he would make some friends, real friends at once.
