My idea based around some of the plot and characters of InuYasha which i do not own

Summery:

Kagome is as always brought through the well the modern teenager who also happens to be the guardian of the shikon no tama, to the edo era of Japan. What brought her through the well was a dream, Mikos are profits, while she is young and her training rudimentary she is powerful.

Five hundred years ago, the human populace was low the Daiyoukai demons ruling the lands, only interfering with humans if it was not a human to human conflict and even then only if it affected them. When a patch work hanyo named naraku tried to open a portal in time he ended up ripping a hole into another dimension, what came through were a differnt types of demons the first wave consumed the fully transformed Naraku and his poison made the army of werewolves sick. In there corrupted state they were no better than the lowest form of werewolf a mongrel, it normally only happened when a starved werewolf bite a human. All mongrels want to do is eat, multiply and kill. This got the demons attention.

Sesshomaru first son of the great Dog General and also lord of the western lands brought all the Daiyoukai together and their armies to fight the fierce onslaught of the killing machines that were carving though there human populace, taking what was left of the humans and securing them the two species and many races worked together en mass for the first time but they seemed to be on the losing side, especially when the were wolves began to make yokai mongrels.

Inuyasha and his advisers and friends Sango a demon slayer and Miroku a holy monk lead one of Inu's brothers many armies along with Koga and his clan of the wolf youkai tribe. They were a hundred in number going to collect one of the last unprotected human settlers, the village of the bone eaters well. the old miko there had a story to tell…
